Moving Part 3

Hello FC.

The Hippy wants to move to "The Villages" in FL.

I don't care where I live, ( I do like Alaska but the Hippy would freeze, : ) )

As long as they leave my guns alone so it has to be some were South.

We still have the termite inspection and buyer's the bank appraisal and packing and my boss asked me NOT to resign until the final moment as for some reason they want me to stay...leaving the School WILL be hard.

As to where we will stay, we are going to rent a house for two weeks to a month, and leave most of the stuff in storage, until we see if we truly like the place and find the best home deal.

How are things with you?

Yeah, you'll miss your job.

Me- ending two weeks of leave. You know how some days it doesn't pay to get up to go to work? Vacation: First, I accidentally start a brush/forest fire in the back of the property. It was caught three hours after the main burn. Something flew off and caught old leaves on fire. My daughters and I fought the fire for quite a while before it was put out. It burned about 250 square feet. Caught brush, old vegetation, tree trunks, and railroad ties on fire. It took three hoses and 20 minutes to get it under control. Poor well pump had a lot of demand on it. I prayed God would wake me up if it started up again. I woke up at 0300 to a small fire restarting in the fire pit, which got bigger. Found out the railroad ties in the back yard wall were still on fire deep inside them. 24 hours later there were still smoldering spots that had to be hosed. Second, my daughters gained weight. I went charging up the steep driveway with my Mustang pickup and, wham, accordioned the exhaust pipes around my axle on a peak in the driveway. Third, disaster at a wedding I attended when the wedding party got drunk and disorderly. The groom had a meltdown the next day that I can't talk about. I think all is well now. Finally, my girls thought they could run the car a/c without the motor running. The battery was four years old and went kaput in a small town in TN. Not too many people were willing to help. I hiked a little bit to Wallie, found a battery, bought a couple tools, and off we went. Heck of a vacation, huh?

BTW, we went to Charleston and visited Ft. Sumter (expensive) and saw the fancy old homes there. Very hazy, but we had a good time. Did you know Ft. Sumter was built on a sand bar? The government hauled granite from the northeast to build it up! What a job back then! I posted pictures on Facebook.

Dead batteries are a pain.

The Hippy had one die in our last car over night.

As we were new at that time and did not know any one to ask for a ride or a jump, I took the old battery to the parts store on my bike, not a motor bike, just a bike : )

Well, I got there easy enough as it was downhill, but coming back the tire on the bike went flat..I had to push it and the (**&&&

new battery about two miles, mostly up hill. : )

"Second, my daughters gained weight."

No more cake or donuts in your house...when the ladies go on a diet, they tend to try and put us on one as well. : )

well, we passed the appraisal, we have to get a bit of wood on the eves replaced..nothing major, the buyer is reasonable and happy...so we may soon be on our way to Fl.

I shall have to speak to the principal and I promised to sit in on the interviews for a new teacher..

But all seems well.
