karlunity
Lets see..you send millions of jobs to China check Remove all tariff protections check Hire illegals who work cheap check Then wonder why you have unemployment??? On the surface this seems to be intelligence on the same order as looking down the barrel of your loaded and chambered 1911 and pulling the trigger to see how the pistol works. Unless..that is, by doing so YOU make a billion or so have to cover your tracks...then it becomes a rather smart if dishonorable ploy. karl
Dr.Hess
I see a minimum of 10 years to dig out of this mess. In all likelihood, 20 years, and that's if we get some real leadership and start to think of the American people first. I don't see that happening. Let's see who becomes the Republicans' nominee. Regardless of the 2012 election, things you won't be seeing: Tariffs on imported goods, tax on money leaving the country, rule of law on Wall St., a FENCE, a balanced budget, JOBS. Or, WWIII starts and we all "pull together" for the common good of defeating whoever the enemy is this time. That's the only other "way out" of what's happening that I see. That won't be good either. FC
We're spending like we're in a major war.
karlunity
We're spending like we're in a major war. That is exactly right and it will do us little good. WW II got us out of the Depression becouse all the wealth of the nations fighting the AXIS flowed to the USA for needed war supplies and when the war ended, ruined Europe and Asia had no were else to buy from. Perhaps Russia or China may have a go at each other and the French and the English have never liked each other. karl
Dr.Hess
Read a news article today. The world is re-arming with atomics. Oh, they all talk about how they are disarming, but they are just rebuilding. The US will spend 700 billion on new atomic warheads in the next 10 years. Even with The O and his "oh, we're getting rid of them bad old A bombs."
AzRednek
we all "pull together" for the common good of defeating whoever the enemy is this time. That's the only other "way out" of what's happening that I see. That won't be good either. I just can't see the US ever pulling together as it did in WW2. There are just to many that have grown up with the govt feeding, housing, providing medical care etc and have an entitlement mentality. If one is not willing to provide for him/herself I doubt they would be willing to work for the common good. Forced to work or starve many would resort to crime before punching a time clock and work an 8 hour day.
karlunity
Dr.Hess If the world is arming with atomic weapons, I cannot blame them. Seems that the ONLY way a nation can be sure that Hill won't start a "Spring" there is if they have Atomic weapons. Az. I think that you have a point. karl
