AzRednek
86,000 M-1 rifles from the Philippines headed to CMP. I wonder if the Philippines are sitting on any M-1 Carbines or 03's. More good news, surplus 1911's on their way. THANK YOU Mr President!! http://www.alloutdoor.com/2017/04/07/breaking-cmp-receive-86000-m1-garands-philippines/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=2017-04-11&utm_campaign=Weekly+Newsletter http://www.alloutdoor.com/2015/10/08/breaking-news-the-cmp-might-get-surplus-1911-pistols-after-all/
rdm1962
Start saving your pennies boys. You can buy up to 10 rifles a year. I will have to re-join the Garand collectors ass. All my other info should still be on file.

AzRednek
Has anybody heard "when" yet? Haven't heard "when" yet but we all know to well that if the govt or military gets involved the wheels will move slow. Hopefully CMP will handle everything once the M-1's they arrive on our shores. If it wasn't for my age, I'd scarf up as many as I could as a long term investment. 20-30 years from now barring any BS legislation in DC they're going to be worth a small fortune. I have a 1950's Springfield but I would like to get a few WW2 dated for my Grand kids. I haven't seen anything from the anti's yet but I'm sure its coming. I'm on Mothers email list as Adolf Hitler!! I do recall something I read years ago during the Clinton era. They were complaining about the govt selling "automatic rifles" to the public. I can recall the next paragraph named the M-1's "assault rifles" with a greatly exaggerated rate of fire. I attempted to get a M-1 during the Clinton era but myself and a couple of buds gave up in frustration. No matter what we sent the paperwork kept coming back. We finally threw in the towel after some bureaucrat decided copies of our ID wasn't sufficient. They wanted our original and current driver license and govt certified birth certificates. Didn't happen to me but an acquaintance claimed after jumping through all the paperwork hurdles it still came back. They wanted utility and phone bills to prove residence. We should be ok at least for the next 4 years.
