FC
Dang, I'm bummed. My bud from 6th grade, the first guy I met when we moved from S.Dak. to TX has malignant melanoma and isn't going to seek treatment. His wife died from breast cancer about five years ago. The guy has freckles and curly red hair. We used to ride around New Braunfels, TX, terrorizing the town on our little Honda motorcycles. This shows we all have a shelf life. karlunity
Why wont he go to the doctor? They dug one out of my head and I am still here. karl
FC
I don't know, and I asked him if he considered treatment. He wrote, "I won't pay them to practice." I think the way his wife died from cancer over time, and all she went through as she slowly went downhill, convinced him he'd never do the same thing. Dr.Hess
Melanoma is a bad one. It tends to metastasize early, sometimes before you even find the primary. Sometimes you never find the primary. But, with treatment for that one, depending on how far it has progressed at the present, you can extend "quality time" left. It is his choice, though. AzRednek
My Cancer started with a Melanoma diagnosis well over 10 years ago. Life sure as hell not perfect, the neurological damage from the mega dose of chemo and the stem cell transplant has taken its toll but at least I'm not pushing daises.
