AzRednek
Don't know if it is/was true. In the early 70's while I worked as an outside salesman for an auto parts warehouse. I was told by two Norwegian immigrants that opened a small repair shop. It was nearly impossible for the average citizen to buy an auto part for their own car in Norway. The govt felt by working on one's own car he was taking work from a licensed auto mechanic.Even in the early 70's the Norwegians still had very hard feelings toward the Sweeds for selling ball bearings to the WW2 Nazi's. Found that out after one of the mechanics refused an order I sent of Nice (pronounced neece and mfd in Sweedon) brand front wheel bearings.
