Back at the end of May we all got an email announcing it was, "87 days until Women's Equality Day." I wrote the public affairs lady back and said that there is not one male nurse leader in the hospital. One week later she wrote back and wrote, "Comment noted." This morning in the hospital newsletter it was announced again. This time there was a quote from Bella Abzug: "Women will not simply be mainstreamed into the polluted stream. Women are changing the stream, making it clean and green and safe for all - every gender, race, creed, sexual orientation, age, and ability." I was insulted as a man. Then I saw the signature on the email of the public relations woman, something to the effect that women clear mens' vision. I wrote back that my wife and I read it, and it was bashing men, just like is popular in colleges and in the media. When is our day of equality? She sent me back a flippant answer that she said these things to provoke conversation! I wrote EEO office. Well, seems I wasn't the only one to object, and this womans' pinfeathers are now clipped. Everything of this sort must now be previewed by EO office before sending it out. The email was pulled back (too late for most of us).

I dont know FC; since a womans reproduction organs are on the inside it seems to me they have special powers. Or at least that's how i'm told it works.

I have rebuilt several staters in my life time and still keep on the shelf, parts to rebuild MT10, MT30 and MT35 Delco starters.

I had a similar probelm with an MT10 delco starter. The problm was a short on the Communtator. One contact on the communtator was shorted, while the rest were fine.

When the starter would try to start from that one shorted communtator conctact the battery seemed to be dead. You could wait a little and allow the battery to rest the starter would then work.

What happens is this; when you have a short in the comuntator on one contact, it still allows the starter to move slightly, even though it seems that the battery is dead. When you let the vehicle set and return and try again the starter may now work because the slight rotation from an earlier attempt allows the starter to get past the shorted contact on the communtator.

A short in the communtator kills a battery fast and the voltage drain/loss causes your system to restart. While your battery is 2 years old, shorting it out like this will shorten battery life.

You can test for a bad comuntator contact by using a ohm meter.

That is a mess and sounds like the laws that use to be on the books in Illinois concerning the transportation of a firearm across the state.

The root of the new bolt handle is completely wrong. There is a chance it will not be able to be made to work. The bolt looks like its set back about .050. Plus it looks like the original bolt root area was ground/cut to low to be repaired correctly or at least easily.

I hope I'm wrong.

If your going to a gun show start by asking a little more so you have room to work out a decent deal. From what I read and hear gun show prices are a premium for just about anything.

I used to change tires for a living and had acquired the nickname truck tire. I know that time is money for a driver and setting is not money.

I used to deal with drivers coming out of Chicago that always seemed to be lost, claiming they forgot their glasses at home or some such nonsense.

I always helped them get back on the road by showing them a road map. Still this day I don't know how they got a drivers license without being able to read

I have been receiving auto replies for some time and just thought it was a way to encourage use of the site. I may change it later but I'm not going to complain about. This site is a good one and worth keeping.

I do wish we could see a few more builds or tricks of the trade but I figure most people are like me sick, broke or both.

Now I know why I never got into black powder.

I have neighbors that are into Black powder but I have never got the bug. That said its interesting that Black Powder is affected by bullet sellection just like everything else.

I like the idea, but how are you going to cut out the ole threads on the Turk. If you do it on a lathe and you get the receiver off then the barrel may be off center and the barrel is not straight.

There is one event that no one seems to remember about Obama that makes me still believe there are questions about his birth.

When Obama was first elected to the US senate for Illinois he was taken on a trip to Russia with then Indiana Senator Dick Luger.

When Obama got to Russia he was detained by the Russian security forces the FSB; because of a Pass port problem, and because the Russians believed that Obama was a spy for Great Britain.

You see Obama had a British pass port "NOT" an American Pass port. If Obama was born in Kenya or part of the British Common Wealth he would have had a British pass port to travel.

After Obama was president I heard a news broadcaster making a comment that Obama must be traveling on a diplomatic pass port because he did not have a US pass port. then the broadcaster started smiling/laughing.

I am convinced that the establishment knows full well that Obama there are still questions about his birth.
