Yes we already have a constitution Party and they couldn’t get the time of day! NO talk show that I am aware off even gave them an interview. The man running for president was former congressman Virgil Goode. When he was in congress He was one of the strongest pro-second amendment congressmen we had and the GOP deliberately let him lose. Also… How many people know that the GOP NEVER HELPED Michele Bachman! The girly men in the GOP never gave her a dime and left her to fight for her political career alone. She did win by 1500 votes but that’s with NO help from the GOP! The GOP is wetting their own pants trying to get rid of the very people that want to up-hold the constitution. The Speaker of the House has already said Obama care is the law of the land plus he wants to compromise his ass off on other issues.

Obama-dingo has allowed close to 1 million legal immigrants into our country per year since he captured the office of commander and chief. Since Obama-dingo has been chief 2/3 of ALL new jobs in the country have gone to immigrants! An open door policy has changed the face of our nation. The values that founded this nation have been replaced with Obama phones, Obama care and promises for more goodies. I personally believe we are going to see an economic collapse in the next 6 months that will rival the collapse of Germany in the 1930’s. We won’t see the hyper-inflation but if gas goes to $8/ gallon and a bag of groceries to $120-150 that will be enough to bring this nation down. People will still get their government hand-outs but they won’t buy anything

I don’t know if being a general is a good thing or not. We had a General in my family and the last 20 years of his life he stopped talking to the rest of the family. One of his brothers would occasionally go visit him on base but body guards were present at all times. We were told that you could NEVER ask things like “hey what have you been working on” unless you wanted to be dragged out of the house and interrogated. God forbid someone looked around the room at pictures or glanced at something on his desk. (Probable firing squad) So in the end everyone stopped trying to visit! [P.S. we were told later his work was secret!] So secret that he couldn’t even visit his family without a damn armed guard that couldn’t be more than a few feet away! So Karl if you were a general you wouldn’t want to share your thoughts on this web site with us normal folks so like I said I don’t know if being a general is a good thing or not

I realize the desire to help promote a safe gun culture is important and I applaud the idea but has a private citizen renting out his private shooting range, I would have to say “Bad Idea” Its my understanding if you charge someone that constitutes a business; that means possible zoning issues, insurance and other issues; personally I wouldn’t want the liability.

I would drill or ream to get a deeper chamber. You may have to buy a drill bit but i think you can get a size that will work. Also there are adjustable reamers that are cheap

FC, if you do go to the wedding stay in a motel away from everyone and only associate with your daughter (bride) and perhaps her future in-laws. You adopted her so she’s your daughter. She may have made your life hell, but that can happen whether she’s adopted or not. I would have NO contact with the other individual (he/she) at all! When he/she walks the girl down the aisle I would be looking down at my feet until He/she was out of the way. Personally I am wondering about the man she is going to marry. Is he alright with a “what ever” giving away his bride to be? That’s where associating with the in-laws could be a bigger plus than not going at all to the wedding. [Conducting yourself in a professional manner at least shows the rest of your family has their head screwed on straight.] Since he/she is older he/she will not be a problem in a few years but your daughter may need her dad some day. The only other option is to not go to the wedding. P.S. If you do go and it turns against you in some way, walk out and wash your hands of the whole affair [(I hope this helps) You seem to have an interesting life FC]

If the small ring is pre-98 I would suggest keeping it in 7MM Mauser. There’s been a lot of debate over the years on the safety of the pre-98 small rings. I remember reading several years ago that the German gunsmiths at the time believed the small ring was capable of Safely handling the 8MM cartridge. But that would have been close to a hundred years ago. The safest thing to do now is to keep the small rings within the pressure ranges that they were made for. The 22-250 like the 308 is a little hot for a pre-98 small ring unless you hand load specific for the rifle! The problem is someday someone may stick a hot loaded cartridge in the rifle, not realizing the need to keep it cool and then the problems occur. My personally opinion on the subject is to keep it either in 7MM or maybe 300 savage possibly 7.62x39 although there can be feeding problems in 7.62x39. If you can buy the rifle at a good price it would be a good first project rifle

I understand what you are wanting to do but I suggest you look for a used 9" or 10" South Bend Lathe. (Buy a newer version that uses sliding gears for speed change instead of gears) The money you will spend on a mini-lathe can be spent on a real lathe capable of turning barrels. There is a chance you can find a good used south Bend bench lathe for $500-$1000 The south bend or a lathe similar has a real slow back gear setting and its easier to learn on them than a mini-lathe made in china
