I'm not sure if this should go here, or in a seperate thread. I think here, but it goes with some of the comments. http://thestarsandstripes.info/obama-americans-would-be-better-under-martial-law# OBAMA: Americans Would Be Better Under Martial Law WASHINGTON– In a statement appearing in the Washington Post, United States President Barrack “Hussein” Obama said “Americans would be better living under martial law.” The Washington Post, a long-time democratic mouth piece and Obama supporter, downplayed the statement by suggesting it was made in jest and that President Obama had been “joking around” with the reporter at the time the statement was made. Despite these so-called assurances, patriotic Americans and government watch-dog groups expressed outrage at the president’s comments; American freedom and civil liberties are not to be GUNCONFISCATIONtrifled with. Michael Danforth, a spokesperson for the American Liberties Union, an organization dedicated to exposing governmental overreach, called Obama’s remarks callous but not uncharacteristic. “Obama has proven himself an enemy of the American people,” Danforth said in a prepared statement. “Now that his time is short, he can say anything without fear. He’s hoping Hillary will reach the White House to continue his disastrous legacy. Hopefully, after eight years, Americans have smartened up.” Obama’s disdain for America extends not only to its civilians but also to its military. Obama has fired over thirty high-ranking military officials who questioned his judgment. Now, it seems, with less than six months left in office, a disgruntled President is saying what honest, hard-working, law-abiding Americans have known all along: Obama, the apologist, hates America. A Washington insider, speaking under conditions of anonymity, reveals that Obama made additional inflammatory comments not reported by the Washington Post. The comments were so volatile that no mainstream media outlet dared print them. “The American people have had 200 years to prove they can care for themselves,” Obama was quoted as saying. “Americans have had their chance to aspire to be better, to rise to the occasion, but time and again they fail. They cannot manage time, money, or even, it seems their offspring. Would tighter restrictions really be such an imposition?” Obama has a long history of disrespecting traditional American values. He has waged war against Christianity; he has illegally armed and supported radical Islamic terrorists; he has waged a constant battle against the 2nd Amendment. This is but a short list of treasonous acts committed by the man sitting in the Oval Office. For a through list of Obama’s crimes against America, see Infowars.com 75 Times Obama Broke The Law. Now, having publicly endorsed Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, Obama is counting on her to further his tyrannical campaign agenda.
  2. At 1mm they may work in a 1911, depending on how good the extractor grip is and what the chamber headspace length actually is.
  3. Have you tried doing a "plunk" test? Dropping a round into a 1911 barrel to see how far they actually go in? Have you measured a couple of them to see how long they actually are? I would try that, and then try one to see if they will actually shoot in a 1911. The extractor may hold them tight enough so they won't drop in too far, and allow the firing pin to hit.
  4. When I rebuilt my kitchen I screwed up and built in some perfect breeding areas for roaches. I had roaches everywhere for a while..............................until I figured things out. Once I took care of those areas, I got some SUSPENDS off Ebay(Amazon carries it too). Food, and pet safe once it dries. I sprayed everything in the kitchen. Inside cabinets, inside and under drawers, walls, on top of the counters, and the floor in front of the cabinets. This was done multiple times, at about one month intervals. Apparently it works by having the poison attached to a sugar like compound. When the roaches and ants walk over the dried poison, it gets picked up in their body hairs and they eat later when groom themselves. I haven't seen a live roach in about a year and a half, and it keeps the little ants out too. I use about 1 1/2 oz per gallon, which is the max recommended strength. https://www.amazon.com/Suspend-Insecticide-Roaches-Professional-Control/dp/B002Y57MGE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1466606961&sr=8-2&keywords=suspends http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bayer-Suspend-SC-Pest-Insecticide-Pint-16oz-/261485568762?hash=item3ce1c122fa:g:~aUAAOSwYmZXM5vU
  5. It's showing potential. I went out to sight it in, and get the gas block adjusted the other day, and I found I had a single shot rifle. I had a brain fart one day and installed an AR15 buffer tube on it, and the PA10, being a .308, requires a longer buffer tube. Which is now on the rifle. That's the change from green to black. But, it is showing it can shoot. But it has less than 50 rds through it so far. I have a low profile upper, which means the picatinny rail sits low. In order for the small object scope to fit, I had to go the tallest rings I had, and even then I barely have bell clearance. If I go a larger scope, I will have to get extra tall rings. I have a snap on cheek piece for the butt stock, but it won't be used since the scope is so low it's not needed.
  6. Last year, I decided to build up an AR in .308Win caliber, which I based on the Palmetto State Armory PA10. The PA10 uses a slightly modified DPMS low profile upper and lower. It had a few bugs to be worked out, but over all it was good. My son first wanted Vietnam A-1 style set up, so we tried that. It originally had the A-2 style butt stock, but it was a bit too long for me, so we went back to the collapsing stock. We decided we didn't like the triangular hand guard, so we went to a Magpul. The first time I took it shooting with a scope on it, I found that the front sight was so tall that it made the middle of the field of view of the scope blurry. So, we decided to go a free float tube hand guard, and a different gas block, one without a sight on it. I decided to go with an adjustable gas block, which is supposed to cut down recoil a bit. I did not want a quad rail, with all those sharp corners everywhere. So, I used a free float tube from Leapers/UTG. I think I've finally got it into its final form. I just replaced the pistol grip with a contoured grip, with a floor plate allowing storage of allen wrenches. The the mounting hardware for the scope, lazer, and bipod is hex head screws. The free float tube makes it a bit heavier, but I can live with that. The only issue with the tube, is that I would have liked it longer to cover the gas block to protect it, but I am satisfied.
  7. 2nd trip to the range after doing some work to fix the problem with shooting high. I installed a new, taller front sight, and then installed an adjustable rear sight. Here is the target. 12 shots, 15 yds. Now, to focus on the 45s.
  8. Or find some one with a barrel threading die. Since those are often a "split" type, you can loosen or tighten then a bit to adjust your thread size for a better fit. I think they are a bit more expensive to buy, but they also might be easier to find. But, I agree with Ken, that lapping will also work.
  9. They became Green Mountain Barrels. But, you won't find them on Green Mountain's website. Midway still has a few barrels in stock.

  11. AZ, the modification to the AR15 style rifle is incorrect. What is required is that push button magazine release be converted to a "bullet button". Which is nothing more than a modified button that takes some form of tool to operate. Even the tip of a bullet, hence the name "bullet button". That is actually the old style way of doing things, before they figured out the bullet button. Bullet buttons have been out for about 10 years now. However, once someone does that, one is limited to only using magazines of 10rds. Larger ones will work, but then, since the rifle is now has a "fixed magazine", one cannot use anything greater than 10 rds. As for the seizing of Marling .444. Before I retired, there was a news flash that the Police in Oklahoma(I think it was Oklahoma City) demanding that anyone who had a certain make and caliber firearms to bring them in for testing as a similar one had been involved in a crime. Fortunately, saner heads prevailed.

Quite frankly, I think Europe is completely screwed. http://mobile.wnd.com/2015/10/thousands-of-muslim-migrants-disappear-from-camps/#aWje1GCFDr1rI26g.03

While I realise that not everyone reads the Bible, nor believes in it, let me post this: Gen. 18:12 says." And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." God was talking to Hagar, Ishmaels mother. Ishmael is considered to be the father of the Arabs. If you go to Revelation, and read Chapter 6, the 4 horses. Rev. 6:8 refers to a "pale horse". "Pale" may be a bad translation, since the word comes from the Greek "chloros", which means "green". Think cholorphyl. While one can argue that there aren't any green horses, the same holds true for Rev. 6:4. The "red" horse is actually a "fiery red" horse, and I have never seen a "fiery red" horse. Does anyone here want to guess what the predominant color for Islam is? GREEN! Because it was the favorite color of the Prophet Mohammed. Then there is Is.17:1 "The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." Damascus is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the Western Hemisphere, and has never been destroyed. Its time may be coming.
  14. Sounds like these. These are some S&W factory loads, with what I think are 88 gr .380 bullets in a .357 magnum case. They were supposed to have a MV of 2000 fps at the muzzle with an 8" barrel. All I know is they had an awesome muzzle flash with a 2 1/2" barrel.

  16. Since green is near the end of the visible spectrum that has the shortest wavelength, isn't it easier to see? Especially at night? I believe the shorter wavelengths will scatter more, but are easier to see. But, its been a long time since Physics class. http://www.physicsclassroom.com/class/light/Lesson-2/Visible-Light-and-the-Eye-s-Response
  17. Well, the PA screwed up the prescription meds I take. I took an empty bottle in so they would know exactly what I was taking, and how much. Since Gemcare will now do 90 day prescriptions on the BP meds I take, I ask that my 30 day prescription be changed to 90, She said, "No problem". But, what she did was double my dose, from one pill a day to two, and increase the prescription to a 60 day supply instead of 90. Fnny thing, whe wasn't worried about my triglyceride levels like my previous Dr. Rather, she focused on the fact that my Vitamin D levels were low. I don't under stand that one, since I usually walk my dogs for at least an hour a day, and here in Sunny Central CA. Vitamin D shouldn't be a problem. So, she gave me a prescription for Vitamin D. I'm going to have to watch her like a hawk I guess when I go back.
  18. 98 action, with a Adams and Bennett barrel in 35 Whelen. Finished in KG Coatings stainless steel bake on coating. Stock is a Richards Microfit. FN Model 24 action, with an A&B stainless steel barrel barrel in 22/250. Receiver left in the white as is the trigger guard. Trigger gaurd is a M93/95 hinged unit, which fits well since the Model 24 is cut for 7mm. I'm going to have to finish the TG in the bake on coating, since it's mild steel it rustss. My youngest son's 300Win Mag, in a blemmed Richards Microfit bastogne walnut stock. Rifle started life as a Centurian Mauser with a 300 Win Mag barrel that had been converted from a 30-06 barrel. The barrel was originally a 1903 Springfield barrel, modified to fit a Mauser, and had been cut to 22". Currently it has a MkX barrel installed. My 300Win Mag. K98 action, with FN bolt, Richards MicroFit English walnut stock. Currently working on a Yugo M48, rebarreled with an A&B barrel in .257 Roberts for my daughter. I need Don Markey to make me a hinged TG, and get down to Richards MicroFit and get a good stock.
  19. I decided I wanted some different looking grips on my 10mm 1911. Tucked away I found a set of macassar ebony grips by a Jean St. Henri of Malibu that I got years ago. I think dark guns need somewhat lighter colored grips. Light guns need dark grips. I have another set, but for a S&W Mod.59, but it's no longer in my possession, but I'm going to keep them anyway...................just in case.
  20. Well, I just got back from my annual physical. Everything is normal, though with the help of a little white pill I take every morning to control my BP. Cholesterol is 168, so it's good. Since I'm 65, they want me to get a Pneumonia vaccination. I am adverse to vaccinations, so I told them I want to think about it. Unfortunately, for some reason my Vitamin D is very low. Unusual since I go for walks almost daily that last about an hour. So, I get to be on Vit. D supplements. Now to try to figure out why I am low on Vit.D with all the sunlight I get. The P.A. renewed my BP prescription, supposedly for 3 months since the new Ins Co will do 3 months at a time. But, when I get home, I find that she doubled my daily dose from 1 pill a day to 2. Prescription strength is still the same, so I have no idea what's behind that. I'm just going to keep doing one a day, and if there is some thing wrong when I go in for a recheck in 3 months we'll deal with it then. I'm happy.
  21. I really have no idea, since I haven't used it yet. I have read up a little on it, and several of the threads I have read have said that the stuff from HF was used. What I have read is that it generally takes two coats applied. First coat, baked, then a second coat applied while warm, then rebaked. The bullets are then run through a sizer die when they cool.
  22. Apparently, you can get it at Harbor Freight also.
  23. Az, I bought these already coated. Before I went to the expense and trouble to get my own molds and sizing dies, I wanted to see how the guns shoot.. I'm set up to cast for almost every caliber I have.
  24. I've now set up my son's Colt 1991A1 45 acp Commander to be able to switch barrels/slides and go 9mm/38 Super/10mm. I did a range test the other day to try out the 10mm set up. Here are the results. Left target is 180 gr coated cast TC bullets over 12.9 WC820(stout load), right target is 175 gr coated cast SWC over 6.6 gr Unique. Distance is 15 yds off the bench.
