  3. I agree cut the cord and let her go. No contact and for sure no rifle. The rifle would just end up going to the kids that don't want you around. So as somebody somewhere said at least once, Screw'em! Swamprat
  4. Just a few lines to say I'm still alive. Made it thru the winter without a serious illness. Going to spend this month laying in all the can goods I can afford. Large gas prices mean a big increase in food costs. Canned foods last for years, I'm buying now and my survivor's can sell the rest for profit. Eat well and prosper. Swamprat
  5. I'm doing ok just taking it one day at a time. Good luck on picking your retirement spot. With the housing market so bad will you be able to sell your home? Swamprat

  9. Marriage is like a deck of cards, in the beginning all you need is two hearts and a diamond..... By the end you'll just wish you had a club and a spade..... Swamprat
  10. Since Nancy Pelosi will no longer be speaker of the house, she's forced to give up her AF private jet to make those trips from Washington DC to San Francisco ..... She'll be flying Southwest from now on because "Bags fly free." Swamprat
  11. I remember reading something a few years ago on one of the gun forums about a company that modified wheelchairs for handicapped folks so they could shoot. I think a search for handicap shooting articles would get you some ideas on were to start. Swamprat
  12. Karl the book is 100 times better than the movie and the movie was great. Swamprat
  13. Grandson's and I used to pull garden tractors. We had a great time. When your boys out grow the pedal one you might want to think about garden tractor pulling.
  14. Yes my daughter,son-in-law, and 2 grandsons. Daughter comes over once a week and helps me with house work. Son-in-law and the boy's do the yard work.
  15. That's it. The only real problem with the gun is if dry fired it will break the coil hammer spring. And there are no springs available. Swamprat
  16. I'm still here. Just been real hard adopting to life without my mate. Learning to do all the stuff I haven't had to do for over forty years. Haven't burnt the house down yet with my cooking and the washing isn't red so doing ok on that part. Been working on getting my concealed carry. Just waiting for state to send it to me, got all the schooling and paperwork done and sent in. Got interested in Grendal p-12 380's. Slick little ccw gun. Have 2 working models at this time and a parts one. These were the fore runnner of Kel-Tec. Has a 12 round double stack mag, lite weight polymer body and small 5inches. Other than that just trying to keep cool in the summer heat. Swamprat
  17. I do not like this Uncle Sam, I do not like his health care scam. I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their secret deals. I do not like this speaker, Nan , I do not like this 'YES WE CAN.' I do not like this spending spree, I'm smart, I know that nothing's free. I do not like your smug replies, when I complain about your lies. I do not like this kind of hope. I do not like it, nope, nope, nope! Swamprat

    Help!

HELP!!!! Does anyone know how to cancel a bid on eBay? I put in a bid for a "Mickey Mouse Outfit" and now it seems I'm only six minutes away from owning Obama, his entire Cabinet and all of his czars! Swamprat
  19. I watched all 7 parts. The umbrella frame to set up camo was just neat! I wonder how many of these old tricks are being used today? With up dates of course. Or how many have been discarded and may be of value now. You find more of this stuff post it. Swamprat
  20. The memorial to her life was today. The chapel at the church was overflowing. My wife was cremated and we had a celbration of her life memorial at her church. Folk's were asked to stand and attest to how my wife had affected them. People just kept standing and talking of all she had done. My wife and I had defferent views on religion and I did not attend the same church as her. I never new the amount of people she had affected in her quite no pushy life. She may not of been a saint but she was damn close to it according to the folks I heard today. I had no idea this quiet housewife from the mid-west could affect so many folks. I had her ashes put into a small treasure chest because she was my greatest treasure. I had no idea this quiet loving woman in the smallest of ways had affected so many. She was not only my treasure it seems she was the treasure of many. She is now home. Swamprat
  21. Thanks Fellows I just wanted to advise you all of not doing what I did. I've heard it all my life. Never miss an opportunity to tell someone you love them. I missed mine don't miss yours. And don't miss out on doing what you love. Go to the range, sky dive, film topless girls at the beach. Just get the Hell out there and do what you love. Lifes just to damn short for anything else. And when your done. Say a quite prayer to the Great Creator for giving us such blessings. Swamprat
  22. I lost the love of my life. My wife of 42 years died in her sleep last night. Her heart just stopped and she passed without pain. This lady was to out live me due to my health problems. This was just a total shock and so unexpected. So here's my vent. If you love someone or something tell them so or just go do it! Instead of waiting till tomorrow for an I love you. This morning no kiss no more I love you's. So go tell your love that you do love them and don't end up being an old man banging his head on the monitor saying, "I should have". Sorry! I just needed to vent and this is only place I felt safe enough to do so. Swamprat
  23. Neat video. I thought the British were the only ones to take an umbrella into battle. Swamprat
