5 or 6 folk's alone in the (northern) wildnerness. With a spring arrival. I was just wondering what if say 5 or 6 of us guy's or gal's with minimum retirement income were to combine thier monies. Could we survive a winter in the north? Some where were we could hunt , look for food and nuts in the fall, winter meat when the season is right should be no problem. Building a shelter for 6, Suppling a wood supply for heat, preserving the food all these could present a problem. However if we only had $4000.00 a month and worked together could we do it? Or would it cost more? Or are the risk's of all working together the negative factor?

The sights are off because it has been dropped more than fired. Your rounds down range were probably the first. Just go to Kentucky windage and forget the Frog sights. Just remember them rats in Harlem and let fly!

I have never seen such a uninformed bunch as those on this forum. You read one article and thats the truth as if written by God himself. However, they say the range was 25 meters. Our deputy riflemen regulary trained for that and three aholes and three shots in three seconds by one deputy is pretty much doable. Three shooters is three times as good.

 

Don't care about the controversy, just glad that Americans still aren't someone to f--- with. Don't think we ever will be, no matter how many dips gain control of politics, media and the campuses in our country. Our blood doesn't run through their veins, nor theirs through ours.

Do your deputies train on a ship rolling on the ocean at a target that is also rolling on the ocean? I can shoot the eye out of a lincoln penny at 25 yds. on dry land with bench support. I told you folks months ago. The secound guaranteed the right to firearms not the right to ammunition (powder or shot). The anti's finally relized you can't fight the 2nd but you can stop the ownership of powder and ball. When they are done you will be able to own a Browning 50 cal machine gun. Of course it will be for display only as possession of an explosive powder in any form will carry the automatic death sentence. Then they will require you to give up the 50 cal. for raw material to suppport the good of the people. God I hope I'm dead by then.

Your guess is as good as mine!! Looks like it has some potential if you have a bolt assembly. What kind of mag floor plate does it have?

I don't know have not recieved gun yet. I just thought the sites were worth the price. I hope so anyway. When it does get here I'll try to post some better pics. I was hoping for an I.D. before it got here so I would know what bolt to look out for.

Its a bolt action single shot made by Stevens. It's an early model 15 without a butt plate. However the retail seller had thier name (JIM BROWN) put on the gun and not the Stevens name. Its this company i'm asking for info on.

I purchased a 22 single shot rifle with the name Jim Brown. I have learned it is a Stevens early model 15. Stevens made several of thier guns marked with sellers name instead of Stevens. I am looking for info on Jim Brown. I bought this rifle because of the name. A real close friend of mine by the same name passed away from lung cancer. I bought this gun to restore as a rememberance to him. I would really like info on this Jim Brown.
