  1. So sorry for the loss. Our prayers are with the family. The river here in Kansas ate a 10 year old last year. No body was ever recovered. The sand just ate him up. Small concellation, but your river gave the body back. I still pray they may find our lost souls body. Swamp
  2. First how could alcohol fuels damage an engine when you mix oil in the gas? No oil equals damage, oil equals no damage! I have run alcohol engines for years without damage. Next how about Anti-matter? The most powerful thing known to man! And we have already captured enough of the stuff to destroy us. Captured but not usable. If the containment field folds we are dust. But if we can harness its power we are a win win. Just my two cents. Swampy

  6. Yoe are pointing the fingers at the wrong people. The folk's you should be affraid of are the WALL STREET folks! These guy's are playing the futures market and getting rich. While you and I are left eating grass . Take the oil off the future's market and we can at least eat hog jowels or head cheese. swamp
  7. I know a baby hammerless is not a military gun. However I really need a part. Maybe someone here can help. I need a cylinder stop spring for a baby hammerless or a complete cylinder stop and spring. Anyone have this? Caliber 22. Swamp
  8. Rob, I go through the same thing every time I buy a gun off an auction site. I only takes about 10 days to do a transaction (I send the money order, they send the gun.) but I'm on pins and needles until it arrrives. If I had to wait 2 months? Pick me up at the funeral home! Waiting is just a plain b*&ch, but we all have to endure it. It's just really hard on us who want it NOW. Swamp
  9. Sorry Guy's, The ruling say's they cannot deny the right to own, however it say's they have the right to require regisitration. So here's how it will play out. You can own a firearm in D.C. after a $200.00 background check, a $300.00 filing fee, and a $1000.00 home inspection fee, or some such stuff. At $1500.00 or some other dumb fee how many registered weapons will there be? Swamprat
  10. Message sent. I'm done. When you are censored while writing. I'm gone. This is the second time an entry I've been making has been wiped before posting. I've paid to keep this board on the web. I thought Tony and I were friends. But this is bullshit. I disagree with a point of view and my post isn't even allowed to be posted. KISS MY ASS I'M GONE SWAMPRAT
  11. Red, Know what you mean about parts for AMT's. I had a auto mag II that I got as a project gun. Had to make a couple of springs and repair the disconnector bar as no parts were available. I fired the hardballer today after giving it a complete cleaning. No problems and dead on accurate. It's a rare gun in these parts and I got some real looks at the gun shop today. There are some parts for sale on gunbroker, you might find your 380 part. Swamprat
  12. Red, A shot of the grips. Maybe.Visit My Website
  13. Red, Pics of my Amt Hardballer.Visit My Website Do to low batteries this is a bad pic. Gun is all stainless and grips have eagle with banner saying "peacemaker". And yes that is a 12 inch ruler. Swamprat
  14. RED, You got me hooked on a 1911 again, dang ya! I went pawn shopping with a buddy down in Witchita today and brought back a AMT long slide 45 hardballer with suppresor and custom grips, and extended mag. Will post a pic soon. Told the wife to blame you for posting this animation. Swamprat
  15. The price of bulbs won't come down and as far as that 12% savings on your electric bill, as soon as the light company looses 12% of its income the price will go up 15%. An how do you save energy if its recommended to leave a light on for a minimum of 15 minutes at a time. This is another dumb ass plan from the the tree huggers. Swamprat
  16. I'll stop right after the next one or maybe the next or the next. But I'm not hooked either! Swamprat
  17. Go with God my friend. Sad,sad, sad day. Swamprat
  18. Was at my local gun shop hang out when a young fellow came in looking for ammo. He wanted some 32 ammo as thats what it said on the barrel. He had received this pistol after his father had died. It said on the barrel 32 and he wanted 32 ammo. Long story short. It also said 32WCF and some things about 1872. He had a Colt 32WCF SAA that was at least 90%. When informed he had a collector item his responce was, "So I can't fire it?". Then he proceded to tell us that dad had left him two. We showed him books about what he had and the value. Low end 4 grand and his ansewer,"So I can't fire it?. And the idiots march on. Swamprat
  19. Just spent the last hour or so target shooting. I just finished repairing a 1906 H&R revolver with 6 inch barrel. Loaded it with Aquila rounds set up a military 15 ft. target for 22's and just had a blast! Did all this in my gun room. Range was a little short of 15 ft. but man this was fun. Gun shot high left. Corrected and fired for effect. Wife was complaining from living room but what the hay! This was fun!!!! Swamprat
  20. Danger Karl R! Danger! Investigate the prices on the web first. 100 plus is to much. These guns go for much less. If nothing else it's a barganing chip with your local dealer. Sorry for the errors have not been drinking fish water. Swamprat
  21. Can we start a Rim Fire forum for training rifles? I have a Carl Gustaf KKW mauser (complete) and a Mauser Werk (incomplete) that are 22 trainers. I would like to know who also has trainers and learn more about thier history. Swamprat
  22. Keep it clean and its a nice little rifle. Repaired one for my great-nephew about a year ago. Had to replace the firing pin after a million or so rounds. It was his dad's old gun from when he was a kid. Just don't take the trigger assembly apart or you'll be saying words the Hippy will wash your mouth out for. Swamprat
  23. Sure got my old tired blood a flowing! Did you see the Mythbusters show about shooting fish in a barrel? Jamie flat tore up a barrel with one. Swamprat
  24. fritz, I don't always agree with your thinking however this time you hit the nail on the head. Swamprat
  25. A lady wrote a lot of letters to the White House complaining about the treatment of a captive insurgent (terrorist) being held in Guantanamo Bay. She received back the following reply: The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, D.C. 20016 Dear Concerned Citizen: Thank you for your recent letter roundly criticizing our treatment of the Taliban and Al Quada detainees currently being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinions were heard loud and clear here inWashington. You'll be pleased to learn that, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself, we are creating a new division of the Terrorist Retraining Program, to be called the "Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers" program, or LARK for short. In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided to place one terrorist under your personal care. Your personal detainee has been selected and scheduled for transportation under heavily armed guard to your residence next Monday. Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud (you can just call him Ahmed) is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint. It will likely be necessary for you to hire some assistant caretakers. We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommended in your letter. Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his "attitudinal problem" will help him overcome these character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand that you plan to offer counseling and home schooling. Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills at your next yoga group. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless (in your opinion) this might offend him. Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters (except sexually), since he views all females as a subhuman form of property. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him and he has been known to show violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the new dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire. I'm sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka -----after wearing it for a while. Just remember that it is all part of "respecting his culture and his religious beliefs." Wasn't that how you put it? Thanks again for your letter. We truly appreciate it when folks like you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job. You take good care of Ahmed - and remember, the LARK monitoring group will be watching. Good luck
