  1. I just took a look at the auction and I don't see it anywhere about extra shipping fees to Alaska. Depending on how bad you want it you might challenge him on it. If it is going to a FFL and he uses Priority Mail it wont cost anymore than shipping it east of the Mississippi.

Glad you got it!!! Looks like it is begging for a 308 or 06 barrel. I'd love to know the history behind it. Can only speculate how many years ago somebody originally sportorized it. From the looks of the adjustable rear Lyman type sight it could have been 50 years ago it was completed. My guess says 1960's from the design of the stock.

I haven't been in that pawnshop for well over a year and I can see why he didn't have many guns for sale. He is putting them all on Gunbroker. Best I recall about all he had were 22's, pump shotguns and a Chinese M-14 he was asking a ridicules price for. If I remember right he was asking 12-1300 for it.

Well to late to complain about shipping ,sent the money already, let you know how it looks when it gets here.

  2. Last I looked it was $52.00. The stock itself is worth that much, toss in the sights and bent bolt it is a terrific deal. If I were still healthy enough I'd grab it. I start another round of chemo next week and wont be up to doing much for several weeks. The Pawnshop has it listed as unknown so it is not likely to be found by Jap collectors or builders searching Gunbroker.

If I can be of any assistance, let me know. The pawnshop is about a 10 minute drive for me. OK to go there in daylight but at night the area is controlled by gangs, hookers and druggies.

See what the bottom dollar is and let me know and make yourself a few bucks.

  3. Hi folks, we're all in SC now. Been working hard and getting sunburned unloading my lifetime supply of wood and ammo cans. Folks are nice around here. One neighbor brought a bunch of fruit and vegetables from her garden. "Spider" introduced himself from across the road. The former owners came by and showed us a lot of stuff we needed to know on the property. I plan to build a small midwestern style barn for chickens. It will be 10 x 14 x 11 high. Thinking about some goats too. Met the cowboy church preacher for local BBQ. TX BBQ is better, and I plan to prove it! Can't find a double barrel smoker here, so will probably build a pit. Hope all is well with you folks.

So are you out of the service or what? Now you will deal with va health care.

  4. Picked up a new grill and was going to take care of this one got a cover and every thing, used it a couple times, the wind blew like a bas!!!!ard and blew it off the deck bent her up like a pretzal. so much for new stuff...

  5. Could be a small town in western ND. farms are so big no kids being born, the state is doing good with the money.Ithink that thatis the place i am going to retire cheap to live just brutal winters just as cold as AK. but not as long.

  6. One of my customers here in AK is originally from ND and is still in possession of the family farm.

Last year, he took a friend there to go bird hunting and the guy loved it so much he bought a house there also. The funny thing is the economy isn’t too good there and real-estate prices are way down so the guy was able to buy the house with his credit card.

Man ken i don't know where you get your info, but ND. is one of the fly over states that are in the black low taxes and cheaper land. and at this time they have over 100 rigs drilling, the bad part is other people are moving in and driving up land prices and taxes.I still own my grandfathers homestead and got 70 bucks a acre nice place where you can still own mineral rights.just need a gusher like in the gulf.
