  1. SNS bullets, the red coated ones. We've been shooting them for over a year now. I load at +P for the .45, no lead fouling. .357 Sig same bullet Mfc, running a 125gr @ 1375 fps, no leading.

Try them you can order direct or thru Dillons, I live about 25 miles from them and go and do a pickup.

  2. All Thompsons fired from an open bolt, squeeze the trigger and the bolt ran forward picking up a cartridge along the way. As the round entered the chamber  almost all the way it would be fired by the fixed firing pin and start to extract and run the bolt back.  By letting off the trigger the bolt is caught and held back until the next time trigger is pulled.

The ATF decided that open bolt guns in semi-auto could be easily converted to run full auto by changing some parts or making new ones, So no more open bolt guns.

  3. Years ago I had a .22 rifle that was really leaded. Tried everything you guys mentioned, no dice. So someone had told me to try Kroil, I plugged the breech and filled the barrel and let it sit for 3-4 days. Dumped the barrel and swabbed and out came strips of lead. Did the same thing several times, followed by brushing and more patches and finally got down to barrel metal.

The bore showed nice and shiny and you could still see machining marks with the borescope.

  4. This girl is a complete and utter twit!!!!

This is absolutely what is wrong with our country, people like this vote. And that is why we are in the state of affairs presently.

I'm really happy my children didn't go to college and learn this S%%T ! I would be really, really PO'd that I wasted tuition money, in fact I'm glad I spent it on firearms..

  5. Karl

They told me after gall bladder surgery to walk as much as I could for the first 3 days after surgery to relieve to gas. It seemed to work, but the first two trips up the block were a real boogger, almost had to call for an evac on the first trip.

  6. Neurosurgeon told me in 07 " Your fighting days are over! If you get into a physical confrontation you may end up a quad in a chair." so I said "then I'll just have to shoot'em then".

Ain't going to end up in a chair if I can help it. Just had to learn I wasn't 27 anymore.

Don't feel bad or alone AZ, I do the same chit around here every once in a while. Sometimes it looks like the 3 Stooges when the old lady and I are working on a DIY project.
