Geese have pretty much left here... except "Residents", which are very Few. Turkeys...have always stayed put here.. they move deeper into cover, and Winter it out...sometimes "Yarding-Up" like the deer do in late Winter.. The Last Migratory bird to leave us, is the Blue Heron.. sometimes I wonder if they was gonna Freeze into the Pond Standin there like that.. Never did happen tho. Sittin here wishin them Sparrows (flyin Mice) would Migrate..

Schlitz made Malt loquer as well as regular beer....as a teenager...I consumed more than my share Jax ...In New Orleans...made Billy Beer...and of course "others" including...Jax...good enough, and better than "regular Schlitz" Strohs??? a Michigan Beer...great Laxative!! kinda like Budweiser for me.. But... what do I know .... Been Drinkin Busch Light... by the Truckload...since??? the late '80's... I drink "cheap beer" outta the Can... turns out...I like the taste of the can!!!!

@Jeremy Looking at my Stash.. I am pretty sure the stock yuou show above is for an Intermediate..(M-48/M24-47) and they are in demand... Betting you can be money ahead trading that for a Small ring stock...maybe.. ensure you get a stock for a Spanish...not a Swede, nor Chilean.. Good luck..

The above stock puts me in a mind of the Intermediate action...tho the back of it...at the tang appears inlet for a Chilean.. the 1895's are different from '93's are both different from the '96's... so small rings are a bit tedious.. @Dr.Hess I have here a never used...nor finish inletted...Turk stock (K.Kale I believe)..and maybe a sound Military trim one... looking.. I know there is a really Nice VZ24 stock!!! But, I think the Eldest has his eye on that one!!!

Thanks to spec4 e4 I am renewing a Couple projects.. a Turk, and a Small Ring Chilean.. Finally finished an 8mm sporter... believe it or Not...all mine have been in full military trim.. Currently i find myself 2 Sporterized bolts Shy!!! both do Headspace (snug even) on current barrels.. but I need to weld handles on.. Anyone that has a Bolt "holding jig" I can Rent?? Maybe a Heat Sink for a large ring??? or... I have worked on Bolts without heat sink... Just go Much Slower..

2Hours????? Takes mine 2 Weeks to stop working. What is yer ABV??? Not that I worry over high ABV... Liking 4-5%. Unless brewing for a "higher purpose".. ie. distilling. Note; we have some excellent hop growers right here in the middle of the Mitten... precious few will share except to dedicated Breweries. It is good to have Friends

I do Know that is true... hard to find around me, and Shipping being what it is these days... I'm probably money in the bank to put a different barrel on and be done!!! I do have access to a nice lathe, also have plenty of Tomato Stakes to practice on... Never know!!!!

I find myself with a good looking 8mm 98 Barrel, that needs the threads Chased.. so Searching for either a Chasing Die, or a Thread File. Would prefer to Rent, borrow, Steal.... as I hope I only do this Once!!! Anybody have even an Idea how I can address this?? Thanks

Yup Contenders shoot... My 7TCU 10" with that Burris scope... will shoot like that... on a good (great) day even with my Cast!!!!! BTW My 10" 357 Herrett (AKA 357 FireBall) will outshoot any other firearm I gots... But is is a to shoot for very many rounds...

Overkill can be Fun... Hell... I have an 8 second DragBike!!!! Sorry Z.... I don't do Scopes on 22's tho... ever since I got that 10" Contender barrel... The one that never... Ever, misses... we use it to "test" ... is it me? or the gun" Or is that a 256?? Matters Not... a good lookin Rig anyway!!

Hey Z... Long time no See (you realize that Rhymes right??) Yes I have seen my share also.. and the "swaged" ones that seem to almost always come up "short" All of the ones you have shared photos of have been top of the line workmanship... I still would use Davis May tho... he did a couple for me.. I have been working on one of my own for about 10 Years!!! No Kidding... Not worth looking at yet!!! But, hey...Gotta try. That one is Not something I would be using on anything I own... Rather a "short" swaged one personally!!! Good to see ya posting!!! Please show us how a Pro does this...
