  1. sounds right. You can only push the Brit so far than away goes the reasonible chap with the umbrella and out comes the viking with the battleaxe. We can be most unpleasent as well. If there are a string of attacks here, a lot of Moors would be hanging from lampposts and a lot of the Mideast would go the way of Hamburg. Karl
  2. Folks. The best flick i saw this summer was" The Fantastic Four". It was as good as the old comic book. Well worth the money. Karl You know I have always seen myself as "The Thing".
  3. O yeah Uncle Hamurabi. Well FC and I are starting a counter suit, of a very nice color, charging that the fact that you state that our post is a waste of time damages our repuration. So there...."O lawgiver" Karl
  4. FC Now now FC The world is what we make it. If something does not make us feel good, it is bad. Now I like to eat donuts and drink beer and I hate PT. So when I got on the scale IT SAID I was 198 lbs. This did not make me feel good about moi. I called a lawyer and we are suing the scale maker for mental anguish. I am also suing to have the law of gravity overturned as I feel that it discriminates against me. Karl ...see yer in court
  5. Perhaps a mix of Mr. Dole's pill, and who was the lady from his other tv ad.. ah, yes Ms Spears, may be of service? Helpful Karl
  6. Guess they don't have a BCLU Reason and logic. Never happen here. The left would go mad. Karl
  7. "Hey, ain't you figured out to register yet?" fritz Us lions of the sands don't gotta register.\ ( besides I forgot ) Abi bin Karl
  8. Speed Lock: HX5A-96168 The other gear is good but the Speed Lock: HX5A-96168, I don't trust them. I put one in Boris years ago, it took so much power off the firing pin spring, some of the rounds would not fire. Did you see the $ 300 Turk...perhaps we should start a business? With all the Turks on this site, at 300 a pop we would be rich How about "Classic prewar Turkish Ammo" old worldquality" only $ 35 a bando Free stripper clips included Karl
  9. I asked one of my former students, now a science teacher, when he came over for a visit, he had just gotten his first Ar-15 and wanted to show it off , Why he had studs stuck in his eyebrows? he replied " it was the only way to be cool and meet girls" Some things never change! Karl
  10. "What brands were you using?" Fritz. Tasco..BSA..Simons. I did not expect a problem , but the older guys at the range told me that there is something about the vibration .22 that "Kills" scopes unless they are on the order of Leupold or Zeiss . Karl 1571[/snapback]
  11. Folks. I have had several scopes on the Mousegun. They all start off well but after a few hundred rounds lose zero. I have come to the conclusion that only top of the line scopes can be trusted. So as I don't care to spend several hundred or thousand bucks for a scope,( the Hippy would have my head ) it is Iron sights for me. At 50 meters firing from sandbags the scope was giving 1 to 2 inch groups but the groups were moving all over the paper. With the issue sights the 5 shot groups were all in the 10 ring. I tossed the scope. Karl
  12. Thanks Z1r* I called Gunparts as soon as I got home. Somethings cannot wait. Karl
  13. The extracter on Boris, my 1917 enfield gave up the ghost. The gripping claw snapped off. Gee..after only 87 years. Boris was made in 1918! I called Gunparts, as Wiseguy does not list the part, they will have a new one here by next week. I will be worried till I get the new part on and get him to the range. NOTE WARNING>>> I was using "Olympic brass head stamp: E.D.P.02 30.06. I had pulled the bullets as Boris does not like 150 gr bullets, and reloaded the case with the "LOAD" and 180 fmj. While I was reloading, I noticed that the base on some of the brass was "FAT", indeed some was so thick that it would not fit into the reloading shell holder. I think that the "thick" base may have snapped the extracter. If you folk use Olympic ammo with older rifles, have a care. Karl Life is simple.
  14. Nice work, indeed! How does she shoot? Karl
  15. That would give new meaning to to the old expression. "Being in deep sh8t" Karl
  16. Having looked at the sample of the Photos you used to take, and if one considers that you changed your focus to Mausers, one can only marvel at your zeal for our hobby Karl
  17. neck sizing dies in 6.5x55, 7x57, or 7.65x54. falaco Sir. I learned this from the nice folk at Lee. I was looking for a neck size die, and the fella told me to adjust the ball and the seating nut on my full size die until it just resized the neck. You will need a hand full of brass to practice with and as a extra goodie you will no longer need to lube the case. It worked very well. Karl
  18. Hum..."Gee-tar" "Thank you very much." Karl the king
  19. Ok that does it. (Karl with smoke coming out of his ears.) I am getting into my "Elvis in Vagas" suit with scarf, shades and rug, slinging my giteer over my shoulder and coming over to your house. Singing "IN the Getto" for 4 or 5 hours. Thank you very much Karl the king.
  20. It is a cut down mk4 that has been "junglized". I have read that the Aussies made them but that some were make by the importers here. The purists hate them. It has been reported that the Mk IV does not have the " wandering zero" problem the origional Jungle Carbines were said to suffer from. If the bore is in good shape, I think it is worth a c note. Karl
  21. Gad!!!!!! I am gonna tell shooter Tom on you!!!!!! Karl
  22. Thank you sir, for proofreading, I have corrected my numbers. Now as to your other point: "This would include being a teacher and refusing to teach ebonics" sphingta The kids don't need ebonics or any more educational fads...feel good tricks to please the muddle headed. Sure they make make the parents feel "special" and a few education profs will write books and "share the experience". The NEED for ebonics justifies the low test scores and keeps the federal edo-bucks rolling in. Without some excuse...the bucks might stop..horrors. What makes you think that people born in America cannot learn English? What is going to happen to the students when they go for their first job if they cannot speak, read or write correctly? I will tell you. The interviewer will take the form make nice sounds and NEVER CALL BACK. If that boy or girl is smart or lucky, they will comprehend what the problem is and spend years in night school fixing it. But what the hell, by that time the "Ebonics" professional will be retired, the next edu-fad will be taking the campus by storm and we will have created jobs for night school teachers. Everybodywins!!!!!! Except the poor sob of a student. Karl
  23. Male, when you mean MAN Female, when you mean WOMAN. The failure to use the proper word Woman or Man robs us of our humanity and reduces us to being one of the "Mass". Share..as I want to share this with you. In my business, they use this word hundreds of times a day. You share a donut with someone..You TELL someone something!!!! Need .."As in you need to do this". Sez who!!! Love.. as in I love your car...I love this movie...By the time the poor word is put away it as the same value as sand on a beach! Karl
  24. TYRVR. Sir, I am sure that you do know the meaning of the word and its proper use. But a great many people do not. I have had to sit in, perhaps endure, would be the better word, many professional "inservices" as well as semiars where the word is tossed about by folk who "should" know better. They have since stopped inviting me to such "learned symposia" as for some reason they feel that my views transgress what is considered the proper limits of orthodoxy in the Groves. As I said my post was not aimed at you as, judging by your posts, you often have a greater command of the King's English than I do. So as I have respect for your views, and as it appears that I have offended you, please accept this as an apology. Karl the penitent.
