  1. Only problem with the higher power spiring guns is the recoil and there ability to shoot them well. You would be suprised that they actually kick, but the recoil eats up non airgun scopes pretty quick. Spring airgun are very picky about how you hold them, it takes awhile to learn how to hold the gun properly to get good groups. Also be warned that the velocity figures you get from gamo (the worst) and others are inflated. This site might help they have alot of guns and some reviews. http://www.pyramydair.com/

  2. Depends on what kind you want, for a pump I would go with a sheridan 392, for c02 a crosman 2260 or a chinese QB-78 (copy of the old crosman 160), for a spring I would go with a Gamo Shadow Supreme. Jerry's had the gamo combo on sale for a $100 last month . All of the above guns can be modified for alot more power if you put a little time into them. But if your going after rabbits and small birds your really dont need alot of power.

  3. I have thought about the same thing before, I have been meaning to try it just havent gotten around to it. I picked up the bigger fry daddy at a garage sale for $2 it's temp control goes from 240-375. Bluing salts are usually in the 270-290 range so it should work.

  4. I know what you mean about certian racial groups that behave badly. When i was in high school we had a big problem with the hmongs. We still do they are constantly causing problems. But the principal in all of his genius came up with a solution. For every month that they behaved they had a big pizza party for them. No party for the blacks, whites or mexicans. We also have problems with the hmongs taking over the pubic hunting lands, the dnr says that in their country when they hunt a land they believe that they own it, and tell us just to deal with it. If a white where to do this, they would end up with a huge fine. If the same rules applied to everyone this world would be a hell of alot better.

  5. Right after Snipe season and a week or so before Jackalope season!! I've always thought a house gun as one, usually a 22 or something women could handle kept handy in the kitchen or mud room on the farm or ranch for pests.

Your fake snipe hunting must be somthing you guys only do down south. Up here most people think when your going snipe hunting your shooting a small water bird with a really long bill.

  6. I have always heard that the pressure problem with the 30-30 was the case, the improved version is suposed to fix this but what good is it when you are execiding the pressures that gun was orgionally designed for? The gun will hold the pressure, and the load works well but it is like shooting +P loads out of a cheap revolver. The action is going to loosen up and get sloppy. From what i have read max loads for the improved are 48,000-50,000 CUP. Why not just sell the gun and get a .307 winchester seems like the safer way to go.

  7. I thought you guys had some really restricive gun laws down there, but they let you shoot out of cars or is it just that you are out in the middle of nowhere and dont care. Where i am they let you have all the guns you want with out any permits but, all guns in a car must be enclosed in a case unloaded and ammuntion in a seperate part of the vehicle. If a game warden catches you shooting from a car or with a loaded gun in the car they take your car, guns, fine you $5,000 and send you to jail for up to 3 years. That looks like alot of fun out there :)
