  1. I think the mayor of Paris is or was a camel jockey. Maybe it was London.

    Swede 94

Brother brought me a 94 yesterday to sporterize. He thought it was a cut down 96. Stock had been cut though.
  3. If oil producers around the world would start shipping all their defunct drilling rigs all over Europe it would scare the Schmitt out of the Russians. That orta be enough reason to start looking into their own resources. Just because our current leadership won’t while holding majority and blowing the far left doesn’t mean other countries shouldn’t try for energy independence. My thoughts mean Dudley squat but that’s how a simple minded Bible Thumping Gun Toter thinks.
  4. Man that sucks. I think fruit trees squeaked by here. Everything bloomed maybe 3 weeks late this year. My apricot didn’t even bloom. I’m too far south for apricots but now and then I get lucky. Peaches are my favorite. I won’t waste my money on grocery store peaches that you can shake and hear the seed rattle.
  5. Yep. 12ga. Made between WW1 and 2 when Germans weren’t allowed to build military arms. Converted 98’s to shotguns for commercial sales. They were made in 20 & 16 guage too but way rarer.
  6. I have 3 junk Geha’s I’m making into one shootable gun. The stock is a 98 rifle stock that’s horrible white and soft but will be ok for a shooter. As you can see in pic I had to destroy the original stock to save the medallions. The cleaning rod hole is going to be a challenge.
  7. Ya, I know y’all have been terrible dry. We got 1/4” last night. Our huntin lease is So. of Abilene. They haven’t had rain since October. Some wheat is couple inch tall and yellow, but most hasn’t even sprouted and only maybe 6 weeks out from normal harvest.
  8. Sorry about terrible pics.
  9. So far garden looking good despite hard winds for over a week. Chance of hail today. Hail destroyed the greenhouse a year ago, so had to buy tomato and pepper plants. That was a big hit with box stores getting almost 5 bucks each. Found plants for 2.00 that were pretty small but are looking good. Planted 20 tomato’s, 8 peppers, 50’ row of Israel melons, watermelons, okra,a row of yellow zuccini and yellow straight neck squash. 8’ cattle panel of yard-long green beans.
  10. Very nice ! Gonna check into one. Think I’m in same boats as you concerning shells.
  11. You nailed it AZ. Knocked lip off with de-burr bit and it drove out with couple taps with 3/8” socket extension and rubber mallet. Thanks again. Jerry
  12. That’s what it sorta looks like it’ll take. Almost looks like a giant rivet. I will drill it. That’s where the Geha medallions go that the stock is for. Thanks AZ ! Jerry
  13. Reworking a 98 stock for a Geha shotgun and can’t figure out how to remove it.
  14. Fredericksburg is my most favorite place in Texas.
  15. That’s some way nice work on the bolt. I’ve welded bolts but never had home brew and would love to try some. My buddy makes the best wine I’ve ever had. Not a wine drinker but his wild mustang grape is fantastic.

    Why?

My weak mind makes it easy for the media to play me like a cheap fiddle. One day I could care less and say it’s a European problem, and next wish I could go over and help. The poor kids and most women tear my heart out. Even their dogs. Politics is more deadly than Covid.
  17. Both books look great. I’ll try to find the Cartridge book. I’m a reading MoFo but never read a 300.00 book. Bet it’s a good’un. My Russian is a little rusty.
  18. Thanks for the bad news Ken. I have a bolt but no guts. Safety knobs and firing pins are tough to find and complete bolts price makes odd-ball Jap. rifle impractical. That money can go into a Mouser. Thanks again for the reply Ken. If anybody thinks they want the project holler. Jerry
  19. I have a REM .270 barrel in a Type 99 action, and because of price of bolt parts have decided to scrap the idea of finishing it. What can be done with the barrel if anything ?
  20. The leader of the free world is an Old Broken Puppet. I’m old enough to live through and remember well the first time Russia was close to vaporizing us, and hear we go again. We need Mr. Trump and I feel pretty good about several others in case he doesn’t run. My libracrat neighbors are sure quiet this past 5 days.
  21. Walter Biden ,according to Pelosi and Band Camp Jen,is saving Europe while our border is wide open is way beyond my understanding. Not much being said about Hunter or the border at the moment.
  22. Crazy how Yugo’s hit the market as cheap odd-balls until they ran out then turned into unique collector items. $75.00 to $750.00 in the blink of an eye.
  23. My brother made this for me.
