  1. Another one bites the dust...the Turkington thinks it wants to be a coyote gun.
  2. First blood for the Turkington.
  3. Actually, that's his 5th deer. This is his 3rd year of hunting and he's killed 3 bucks and 2 does and will probably kill another doe this year. Just passing on the tradition. I mostly just watch the deer unless an old mature buck foolishly exposes himself. Roger
  4. You can get a 9x20 for not much more than the mini lathes cost and you can actually do something with it. Roger
  5. My 11 year old grandson got a nice little 8 pointer this morning.
  6. Congratulations! That's a trophy in anyone's book. Thanks for sharing. Our rifle season starts next Saturday. Roger
  7. Congratulations. You look like one happy dude. Even the badger looks like he's smiling.
  8. Congratulations! You have reason to be very proud. Roger
  9. Are those the eatable kind or the magical kind
  10. That's a sexy looking rig. It's coming right along. Roger
  11. Sound Metal Products (Duane Weibe).
  12. Nice Project! What barrel are you going with? Roger
  13. Clemson, the cleaning rod in my 96 is also 27.5". and the slotted end won't go in the bore either. I never noticed that before. I'll be waiting for an answer, too. Roger
  14. Fireformed 6.5/303 epps next to a standard 303 british.
  15. Still haven't decided what to do with the martini. Yesterday I rebarreled a Ruger no. 1 for a friend and chambered it to 6.5/303 epps. That looks like an interesting round. Maybe I'll go that route. I loaded up a few rounds to fireform using 7x57 and 6.5x55 dies. I'll go shoot them tomorrow and see how it looks. Here's the loaded rounds. I'll take another pic of the fireformed brass and post tomorrow. Roger
  16. This is my first Martini and was rolling around ideas in my head as to chambering options. I'm thinking something on a 348 win. case. Also, who cuts a stock pattern for martinis and is there a source for extractors or is that something I'm going to have to try and alter for a different rim size than original which is 577-450. Believe it or not, the action threads are .980x 12 tpi. like a small ring mauser. Any help and sources for parts are welcome. Thanks, Roger
  17. That's the same stock I used on my 7 mag turkingtom. I filled in the safety notch and bolt notch with marine-tex then recut the bolt notch to match my bolt then painted it. I also glassed in 2 sections of aluminum arrow shaft from the recoil lug to the sling swivel stud to stiffen up the fore end. It made up into a pretty nice stock. A lot of work, though. Roger
  18. I got mine, too. Thanks az & rivitir. Now to figure out bolt handles and scope bases. Roger
  19. Lookin good . That sure is a pretty piece of wood.
  20. Looks like a top fuel rail dragster.
  21. It's amazing to me that there are people that actually fall for that crap!
  22. Az, I tried to send you a PM with my addy, but, I think your box is full.
  23. Wow!! Az, when you break one, you don't mess around. I've never seen one break exactly like that before.
  24. Here is my version of an adjustable mauser trigger. The screw through the spring is for adjusting overtravel. Zero creep is atainable, but, I don't believe is safe in a trigger like this. That creep is all the sear engagement that you have.
