  1. He's a wonderful speaker. Really can convince the crowd to believe anything at all without ever actually saying anything. Hope for hope and the hope will hope until we all hope together with hope. Really, this is just part of the Klinton's game plan. They don't like to run out front. They like to be the underdog. Remember that Uncle Bill never got 50% of the vote and was always coming from behind. Osama, Obama whatever, I think was a plant from when he got elected Senator. Great speaker, isn't Hillary and he can knock out all the other Dem candidates until it's just Hill and him, then the Klinton dirty tricks team comes out of the woodwork and really, without even being too dirty, exposes him for what he is and suddenly Hillary looks good. Humm, right. I think he did get just a little further than the plan originally had called for, but that's OK, there's no way that America will elect a (per the media, all, some or none may be true) half black, half white, gay, ex drug dealer, Moslem that hates whites and hates America with a spiritual leader like Wright and a money man that happens to be Syrian as President. Even McCain looks good compared to that, and that's pretty bad.
  2. I dunno. The plot of that movie was about the worst thing I have ever seen. The bad guy kills everyone and lets the cop hunting him go. None of it made any sense at all. How it could win any awards is beyond me, but then the awards usually go to shows that no one wants to watch anyway.
  3. I saw it. I thought it was a total piece of shiite. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. The plot was beyond stoopid. How that could get any award is beyond me.
  4. I don't speak German, but I've noticed in old newsreal footage that Hitler was a tremendous public speaker. He had the crowds right in his hands. Obama is an excellent speaker as well. He never says anything, but really presents in a believable manner. I still say that Hillary will win. Obama's campaign is starting to crumble. Think about it: Who is one person that Hillary (who everyone hates, even her own party) can beat? Why, a gay, drug dealing, pro-abortion, anti-gun, half black, half white, moslem communist who hates white people married to a wife that hates America. Now, would you prefer that or Hillary? Gosh, tough choice there. I still maintain that Obama was selected years ago to run against Hillary in the primary and that is why he was elected Senator. I think his campaign got a little too "good," but the plan is for her to win the primary and have "momentum," then go on to beat whatever loser the Republicans put up.
  5. When we were living in Bryan, TX, there was a squirrel nest up one of my oak trees in the back yard. After a big storm, I looked and the nest was blown down and one of the dogs, shithead (half Ridgeback, 1/4 Doberman, 1/4 Pit Bull), was going to town on the nest. I think she had already killed one and was going for another. I put my welding gloves on, and took one away from her and stuck it back on the tree where it scampered back up. My outside cats catch the occasional squirrel, bird, mole, etc. here. I rescued a squirrel from one of them once. Another carries half a squirrel around like a sandwich, and don't even think to trying to take it from him. We call them "Squirrel Sandwiches." I've seen him sit there looking at a coon eat his cat food, saying "Daddy's gonna kill you." I blast the coon, say with an SKS at 10 ft with the cat a few feet away and he doesn't even move. Just says "Told you so."
  6. I dunno how long I've been hanging around. Probably pretty close to the beginning, I guess. I never was on the Parallax board, so I didn't get run off of it. I guess I found this one surfing in the early days of the internet. I built a Turk into a 30-06 High Power Prone match rifle back in about 1997 or so. Then we moved up here and there are no matches to shoot it. Oh well. What was the deal on Rem700? I seem to recall a guy who said he was robbed and people donating stuff to him. Was that it?

    Hillary

Yeah, it's bad this time. Worst I've ever seen it. What with Soros funding both sides, we're totally screwed. McCain has a history of being for about every gun control bill he can get by with voting for and still get re-elected. On the other hand, Hillary recently said she killed a duck in Little Rock. Hey, she killed it herself instead of ordering one of her henchmen to do the killing like she usually does. And, she said that us law-abiding gun owners shouldn't have our guns taken from us. I think she's trying to make nice. Anyway, stock up now, because next year it'll be all over.
  8. Yeah, the reason it's so cold is because of Global Warming. And people will believe that. It is really amazing. Save the Polar Bear!!! Without ice, why, they might die!!! (Never mind that the polar bear is a MARINE MAMMAL that SWIMS AS GOOD AS IT WALKS, OR BETTER and is currently having a POPULATION EXPLOSION.) Anyone that seriously looks at the GW hysteria and isn't receiving money to further it, can see the bull shiite. Unfortunately, the media and those with money know exactly how to control the population. There was a study that did this: Take a group of people. Tell them something that was a lie. Later, tell them that what they told them earlier was a deliberate lie. They wouldn't believe that what they had been told was a lie and they still believed it. Don't think for a moment that Gore doesn't know this. OK, so why the GW BS? Because it is an excuse to get us to move to nuclear energy instead of carbon based (oil, gas, coal) fuels. We were told for decades (sponsored by the oil industry) that nuclear energy was evil, dangerous, expensive, and bad. Now, they have to convince us that oil is evil, dangerous, expensive, bad and running out. (Don't look at the Green River Valley in the U.S.A. that has more proven oil than the rest of the world combined, including the Middle East.) So, they tell us that the natrually occuring climate cycles mostly driven by the Sun are actually the result of soccer moms driving SUV's and using incandecent light bulbs. Otherwise, we won't approve of spending massive amounts of money to change our energy infrastructure. Personally, I think we should move to nuclear energy, if it would mean we dump the Middle East, but somehow I suspect we're gonna get screwed in the process anyway. The signs are out there: Hybrid cars (a stepping stone to the development of fully electric), no new refineries built in decades, "evil carbon" which happens to be the basis of life, China and India starting to build cars for their own people, and more. In the next 10-20 years, we will see nuke plants built here and a massive upgrade of our electric grid. Invest in these industries. I saw a report once of a small portable nuke power station. It was the size of two 18 wheeler trailers. The idea was that if some bumfuq country wanted nuclear energy that they could have some of these instead of making their own, which they all really only do to make bombs anyway. There were sat links and massive security devices and if anything went off from someone tampering with it, these short stocky fellas with USN tattoos showed up and killed everyone around the place, then vanished. So, if instead of giving these things to the Africans, we put one in every town and gave the electricty away, we would be energy independant overnight. People would figure a way to use that energy for transportation and to heat/cool their homes.
  9. Here's a little info on that last school murderer that didn't quite get reported by CNN: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=57086
  10. He was a graduate student in Sociology. What group of people go into graduate studies in Sociology? I suspect that more of the a-hole's background is being hidden. Hey, I know, let's pass a law making it illegal to kill people!!! That'd solve all these problem.
  11. From: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=56177 With Soros funding both "candidates," we're screwed either way.
  12. I'd be careful with the home made electric cleaner, guys. The electro-chemical aspects of what you're doing really require an exact voltage to not pull up the iron out of the barrel while removing brass or lead. If you go too high on the voltage, you'll pull out everything including the bore, thus using the larger bullets afterwards. The comercial units voltage is very carefully controlled, and if I recall, it's below 2 volts. It's been too many years since freshman chemistry, so I can't write out the equations off the top of my head.
  13. Did you guys (especially HISTORY TEACHERS) see this one: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml...nhistory104.xml
  14. Yeah, that's a good point: Taking a weapon like a "classic" WWII Mauser 98 with German markings and butchering the heck out of it and turnining it into a plowshare, or a custom rifle, whatever, is like the final "pissing on the grave" of those that were actively trying to destroy us. On the other hand, keeping it 100% original and virtually worshiping it is rather sick.
  15. I respect Jack Wheeler. This is frightening: from http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=60020
  16. They play constant numbers games with us. We have been "promised" more "free" stuff than there is anyone to pay for it, and that's the problem. I've been working for 30 years, paying manditory Social Security tax. Now, "Social Security needs to be fixed." That translates to "Screw Dr.Hess" because in another 20 years when I retire, if I'm not dead, there will be no one around except for some illegal aliens to pay into the system. Meanwhile, I can't find any real numbers, but I strongly suspect that the a huge chunk of our tax dollars go into paying interest to the banking community. Just like a family that is in way over their heads on credit card debt, eventually all the money goes to pay interest, including money freshly borrowed, which gives nothing in return but slavery. That's how I see where we are at. The only way the family has out is bankruptcy or the equivalent of just stopping the payments on the debt and screw the banks. The dollar was deliberatly devalued, but was likely overshot. The coming resession may be designed to revalue the dollar to about a $50/bbl level from the current $90/bbl, or maybe to stop the further run-away devaluation and leave it at the $90/bbl level. Oil will also no longer be traded in Dollars. This is big. I don't know what will replace it. Maybe the Euro, maybe some basket, but it will force foreign money away from us and into someplace else. We have been riding fairly high on foreign money coming into our economy. This change will hurt.
  17. Thanks, Spiris. The chrome on the pipes is about shot now, so that's why I want to SS Duracoat them. You would not believe what they want for drag pipes today, and as far as a re-chromer goes, forget it. Here's the bike: I converted it to fuel injection (home made computer) and welded the oxygen bung to the front pipe, so that tore up the chrome some too, but it was about shot after 19 years anyway. I also did the paint job on there. She wanted turquoise. I have a AK project going too, one of these days when I get to it. I was planning on duracoating it. Do people paint (duracoat) the inside of the receivers or do they just leave them in the white? I don't want to mess with Parkerizing it, although your method seems like it would be the easiest way to do it.

On my Spanish 93 7.62x39, I bought a new, unfinished extractor from one of the big suppliers (I forget which one) and ground it to fit the 7.62x39 case. I started out with the original 93 extractor, welding on to it, grinding, etc., but eventually just gave up and bought the new one.
  19. I posted this once and it vanished into the same whole that swamprat's post went into. Anyway: Spiris, How are you preping the stuff before applying the Duracoat? I have some of that high temp no-bake stainless Duracoat that I'm going to put on the drag pipes on my wife's bike. I was planning on sanding what's left of the chrome, then hosing it all down with brake cleaner and spraying on the Duracoat with a detail gun.
  20. You bought it, you do what you want with it. I don't believe much in "colectables." If I can't shoot the thing because it will be worth less, I damn sure don't want it. And if I want to hack the barrel off, put a scope on it and put it in a different stock, that's my business. Like cars: Some people (JAGUAR) get all bent out of shape regarding the orientation of a warning sticker or the type of material a (defective designed) hose is made from. I just don't do that either. Enjoy what you have, mod it to suit yourself.
  21. Yes, and there are more proven oil reserves in the Green River Valley, around Utah, Wyoming and Idaho than in the rest of the world put together, including Saudi Arabia. But, Uncle Bill nationalized the whole thing and stopped all exploration/development cold. Gotta save the tumbleweed or something. It's all a scam to get us to work for nothing.

If you already have the 93, put a 7.62x39 barrel on it. I have one and it is a real soft/nice shooter. You can work out the math on the numbers thing for a tie in. 7 (6+2) 93 ?
  23. Yes, but consider this: George The First sold out the gun owners and it cost him the election. This did not go unnoticed by George The Second, who you might notice has not sold us out. George The First put a gun ban in place. It is still with us (driving a U.S. made parts cottage industry). Uncle Bill put a ban in place. It is gone. Which did more damage? The Republican or the Democrat? Now picture a Romney or McCain, both rabid anti-gun people versus a (gasp) lizard queen or Osama (whatever). Who's gun ban would last? Either way we are screwed. Which way are we screwed less? I voted for Perot also, and I have at times regretted that decision, but in hind sight, I can't say as it was totally wrong. For one thing, it taught the Republicans that they don't own us gun owners. That billionare from New York is thinking of a third party run. I don't think it would hurt the Republicans like Perot did. If anything, I think it would hurt the Lizard Queen more. She is despised in her own party almost as much as outside of her party, and that other a-hole from New York would only pull votes from her. The only way she can win guaranteed is if the Republicans put up McCain, Romney or Rudy. Huck stands a 50:50 chance against her, but it would get real ugly. He is already only mentioned in the media as a religious nut case. He was governor here and I didn't even know he was a preacher until the national media started broadcasting it every time they mentioned him. This election will be decided in the Republican primary.
  24. When Huck was governor of Arkansas, he didn't screw anything up. That's about the best you can say for any of them. This whole election and the next 4-8 years is gonna be bad. Hillary is the dem nominee. It was always her's to lose. Osama, err, Obama is just someone for her to beat and "gain momentum" at the primary. Any serious look at his platform sends even leftists running. On the Republican side, it is looking like McCain, which is bad for all because he is a dem in a R suite anyway. Mitt and Rudy are nothing but Hillary Lite. So, I see it as Huck v. the rest. Every one of them wants free Mexican labor and screw us all. Huck at least is giving lip service to "close the borders" now. Note that Ron Paul would be best, I think, but he doesn't stand a chance. The Fix Is In, and it isn't for Paul.
  25. The guy here at work used a gunsmith near the NWA Regional Airport in Highfill. He said he does lots of Mausers.
