  1. NOW THAT RIGHT THERE IS WAY KEWL. THANK YOU OH MIGHTY FLATULANT ROOSTER.
  2. When checking out lathes, don't just go by the advertised dimension such as 9x20 etc. Which generally is bed lenght, then you start subtracting for chuck, faceplate, centers, tailstock, etc. Find out the {between centers} dimension. That is the real usable lenght measurement of the machine. Even a 20" bed would be very hard pressed to spin a 14" mandrel with a reciever on it and have room to make a cut on the face. JM2c
  3. Nope, to short. The mandrel required to hold the reciever itself is 14" long. Then consider the face-plate and tailstock and centers required to spin it.
  4. Our apologies – this page was not found. Link has been pulled.............Bummer
  5. 14 lost from the small city of Paramount, Ca, where I grew up. 10 of which were friends and aquaintances I went to school with.
  6. OH DUDE, THAT'S COLD true but cold Where the Dem-Tards are concerned they have proven why they are Tards. They are to mentally stunted to realize that she had as much to do with the trouncing they got as O-hole. Statements like "We have to pass the 2,000 page bill before we can learn what's in it." And her referral to "500 million Americans." Just to name a few of her MORONIC RAVINGS. And they still want her as Chief Tard.
  7. A&B series 2 mauser barrels are already pre-threaded and short chambered for SR recievers. The series 3 barrels are for LR recievers and would require rethreading.
  8. A [jointer] is used to straighten the edge of boards. To make tight [joints]. Stock is held vertical against fence and fed over the drum which is horizontal and holds the knives. Drum sits between 2 tables, rear of which is fixed and front which is adjustable for depth of cut. Radial arm saw has motor/blade on a slide [over] the table and stock. Adjustable for miters, cutoff work, dadoing, etc. Is more PIA to setup than a table saw. More dangerous to operate also. If the blade grabs stock it can and will climb over the board and come at operator unexpectedly. Best bet is a good quality table saw, the bigger and heavier the table the better for sheet stock. Compound miter saw of 10 or 12 inch dia. And a good router and table for it. Then consider a radial arm for cut-off of shelf stock work. JM2c
  9. JM2C..............I wouldn't. To refinish this revolver in any way shape of form will diminish its value as a collectable.
  10. Now that there is funny. Thanx for the chuckle.

    Life

karl, By "Norden AFB" I can only guess through my own thumb typing capability and other hints as to location you mean Norton AFB by San Berdoo. I was born and pretty much raised bout 70 mi SW of Norton and can sympathize if that is your locale. What has happened to SoCal both politically and demographical in the last 30 yr or so brings tears to the eyes.

    New Vz 24

    Digger +1 on all counts.
  13. Happiness is a clean shot and a warm gut pile. Pic of heart with hole is confirmation you did your part. Good Going.
  14. Uncle Grinch, I don't know the answer to your pitch question. I can tell you you don't need the screw. Since the sight is already soldered, screw isn't needed. When assembled at armory the sights were slid onto barrel after headspacing barrel (frnt and rear). Aligned with the top of the barrel. Set screws were tightened to hold them in place and then soldered. That is also why some of the screws can be such a bear to remove, because of some solder wicking up into the threads. JM2c

Any decent condition Mauser for $120 is a great catch. Especially a 98.

For overall virus protection I gave up on the big 2. Which are Norton and Macafee. As described by an IT tech pal for a large banking concern in the DFW area. He actually considers them viruses because they try to take over all aspects of your puter. Primary protection I use AVG which I have found much more effective than either of the Big 2 and cheaper to boot. Bout $55 a yr IIRC. For secondary cleanouts I use http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Free download version. And Hitman Pro 3.5 which is also a free download. http://www.surfright.nl/en As usual............JM2C, and ya get what'cha pay for.

I have a friend on another forum who is active duty in Sandbox. I've been getting pecker pill adds from his E-mail acct. I know it isn't him sending them, or at least hope not anyway.
  19. I see APATHY as the greatest danger to our great Nation.
  20. I hope you included "Qur'an....8:12" in your lesson. That's the one I refer to the Tards that try and say what a Peacable religion Islam is.
  21. Karl, Do you have links to those items of interest? I'd like to see them spread to all of Gore's internet.
  22. Jeff, If fitting a new claw extractor makes it work, go for it. Most 35 rems are strictly hunting guns. My concern with the head dia difference is this. In the field and you fire a shot and that is also the time that the rifle has an issue with sticky extraction and tears off a section of rim instead of extracting it you are left holding a club not a rifle. I try to adhere to the KISS rule and leave bolt faces, as is, if possible. JM2C
