Since the format change here on the forum I have been unable to copy and paste anything into a post. Even a link.
Am I doing something incorrectly? Had no problems previously.
When I attempt to "paste" by right clicking the "paste" word isn't highlited and it won't allow me to click it.

In other words, Emperor O-hole the Kenyan Messiah and his newest lap dog Mr. Swiftboat is once again pissing on the Constitution and will claim. "We can't wait for Congress to act". So I will do another impeachable illegal act and get away with it because the BSM and all the Democratic Socialist's in the Senate Love me.
I certainly don't want anyone to kill his illegal ass because that would just create a martyr. But I pray nightly that Mr. O-hole chokes to death on a chicken bone. That would be the single best thing he could do for this country.
Maybe someday I will put to print how I really feel about the Messiah from Kenya.

$24,000,000 tax dollars for unemployment and welfare benefits to NJ prison inmates.
$69,000,000 tax dollars taken from ATM machines using Commyfornia welfare Credit Cards. Where? Hawaiian Resorts, Las Vegas Casinos, So Bch. Florida, Cruise ships in the Carribean, even Tahiti.
The Democratic Socialist Party loves to buy welfare votes with our money.

According to this site it can. I have little doubt that it will.
With the cost of custom dies and reamers, why not just go with the ,284 Win? Capacity between the 7x57 AI and .284 Win should be very close, and the .284 should be cheaper to build.
I can see one obvious reason. Probably same one that precludes H&R from offering the .284 in a Handi. The 284 is a rebated extractor rim cartridge. So no problemo with a bolt gun because the extractor grasps the case from the rear. But a Handi extractor hooks the case from the bottom. So if chambered in 284 the extractor would extend upwards past the chamber wall.

Pressure wise? No problem. As you have likely already discovered, the intermediate lenght Yugo is tight for 30-06 lenght cartridges.
Only you can decide if you want to spend the time or the money to squeeze it in there.

Quote:WASHINGTON — A showdown at hand, Senate supporters of expanded background checks for gun purchasers all but conceded defeat Wednesday in a fierce political struggle pitting the parents of Newtown, Conn., shooting victims and President Barack Obama against the National Rifle Association.
Attempts by gun control advocates to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazine clips faced certain rejection in a series of votes called for late afternoon,
And of course the Immoral AZZwipes go on to mention the tragedy at Sandy Hook. Trying to exploit the death of children to further their agenda. Even though even Retard Joe Biden has publicly stated that background checks would do nothing to stop such tragedies.
Yeah Dudes, just heard over my shoulder from TV in other room, "BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE DEAD FOR NOW"
vote was 54 to 46 -
Karl, I certainly don't mind bagging on Commyfornia because I do plenty of it myself. But I try and keep it factual. There is no extra high tax or signing for gunpowder here. And ban hasn't happened yet either. Even though the asswipes in Suckramento are trying to ban everything.

You know if I were an "anti" I would start a "progun group..I would be a flaming zealot and curse the NRA as wimps.
Get a lot of e-mail or blogg support. Then when the time was right, come out with a lot of press as "A responsible gun group willing to compromise for the common good" That would put pressure on the NRA and give political cover to the gungrabbers.
sneaky karl
Karl, here is a C&P from a post I did 2 days ago when I read about their betrayal. Pretty much echoes you point.

I didn't feel like dinking around, so I loaded a round and took it out to try.
Well did you learn anything??? Like "SAFETY FIRST". Or maybe the first rule of reloading, start low and work up slow???

The 08 case is considerably larger diameter at the shoulder than the 7x57 at same forward location from base. Barrel would require setting back quite a bit to do away with original 08 shoulder. Whether this could be done and still leave enough meat to support the chamber area would depend on contour of barrel in question.

I can't find hollow points for my .38 S&W caliber, so this may work.
Dude, look at the ballistics of the old S&W round and then come to the reasonable conclusion, Why Bother? Developed in the IIRC 1870's it just doesn't have the steam to expand a hollow point bullet. This guys statement of "reasonbly soft lead bullet" makes them unsuitable in the 9mm para because shooting soft lead boolits at para velocities will just make a leaded mess of a barrel. Again working from memory the S&W travels at 700 to 750 fps. And developes less than 200 ft lbs ME. Better off leaving your boolits as heavy as possible and rely on energy and penetration to deter an intruder than a lighter HP design that won't expand anyway.
I have an old S&W hammerless lemon squeezer that I load 158 gr SWC's in. Relying on weight and large meplat to deliver available ME.
If you feel you just have to have a HP defense load get some of the 110 to 125 grain JHP's made for the 38 snubbies. But doubtfull even they will expand at S&W velocity.

Must be something wrong with the cinematographers camera. Less than 1/2 way through it got all fuzzy and a little wet around the edges.
Happens every time I watch this type vid about the greatest generation and what they sacrificed and survived so that we may remain free.

I've got quite a bit of ammo, bullets, and powder, but the powder is getting old. Boy it was tough finding .361 bullets for the .38 S&W. Still waiting...

You most assuredly can, if you so desire. Many people prefer the 3 position original military safety. It is after all a safer safety because of the FP blocking function and also aids in bolt disassembly.

FFL's in city of Los Angeles are doing an average of 200 background checks a day -
I have a Turk Mauser that is going to be 243 Win and the magis to long. So what to block it with and I was thinking of using thd follower but cut down a little with a M1A 5rd spring. Whaf do you think?
Thanks
Rob
Many standard lenght mausers feed and function just fine with 243/308 lenght cartridges. It also gives the option of seating bullets longer to get closer to the lands and increase accuracy.
IMO, go ahead and do everything else and give it a test drive. If it hangs up feeding, then consider blocking the mag. If it isn't broken there's no need to fix it.
