  1. Don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground is a compliment in my book Rob. And I agree on the badge and gun thing the more I deal with them the less I think of them . Was stopped in Arkansas a year after the ELD mandate went into effect was told we had to have the ELD but that the state didn’t want us to email the logs in because they were afraid of viruses and they didn’t have the separate system set up to handle it yet and he didn’t have a fax machine so he wanted me to fill out a set on paper for my last 7 days , told him to suck one, bout went to jail before it was over. Then Missouri gave me a fix it and mail it in warning for an airline touching the catwalk , and told me that it wouldn’t show up on my record when I said the hell it won’t he didn’t even know what a CSA score was ! Then wrote me for not taking my 30 minute break after I showed him the company provided copy of the DOT live haul exemption ( no break required when loaded and hauling livestock) Then pulled me across a set of portables and I was only grossing 77,000 but gave me an overweight ticket for weighing 34,100 pounds on my drives, live haul loads can change by tons between the trailer and drives from animals moving around. Talked to another one in Mo. a few weeks back that gave me a road side inspection that was a super nice guy , when I mentioned that even warnings ding your CSA he was honestly surprised , he had zero training in CSA. It really blew his mind when I showed him that a bad tire dings your record worse than hitting and killing someone. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of abortion they make out of the hours of service next, word is they have they’re little minds blown over the increases in accidents since the ELDs were mandated.....duu work when we say work and sleep when we say sleep 14 on 10 off in a few days you went from working days and sleeping nights to sleeping days and working nights and the stupid bastards wonder why people are fatigued. Yep don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground is a compliment. Best of luck , I’ve yet to see the law work both ways , never puts anything in my bank account but sure takes out. Jim
  2. JP is my choice for serious accuracy on my prairie dog guns and a thousand yard 308 I play with . You chose your springs according to application make your adjustments then you may or may not need to fit/time the disconnector then fit it to your safety. Sounds worse than it is but you can adjust them to make up for pin hole geometry that leaves allot to be desired and screws you on other triggers. They are sweet! I’ve never tried the roller shoe model or the easy fit safety. Been using them for 25 years. They bottom out at about 2.75 pounds on 5.56 and 3 on my 308 They have very easy to follow instructions and while I’ve never had a problem I have had a few questions over the years and they were all over them very helpful. On my beaters I polish sear engagement surfaces on milspec parts bob the hammer and either use JP springs or cut one leg off the milspec hammer spring and bend both legs of the trigger spring up then use a 3/4 in grip screw that allows me to install a 1/4 in set screw first that allows you to adjust sear engagement, some of these turn out very nice others still have a slight amount of creep depending on geometry but at less then two bucks for screws they are very budget friendly and usually yield a 4.5 pound pull. Caved?

Doc I sure hope your right but I’d love to Publicly look him in the eyes and ask him why he lied to me and pussed out and if he plans on making it a habit .I’m not one bit happy about it. Jim
  4. I wouldn’t fault anyone for trying to stay on the safe side , but for me I’ve loaded and shot thousands of rounds of both mixed and a lot of them pushing max and I’ve never had a problem and don’t believe I will. Really the last guy pegged my BS meter if your gun won’t handle (highly explosive)LMAO 5.56 you better not be shooting it with 223 cause it’s junk and your fixing to get hurt regardless Jim
  5. Yes Tony ,Jim Bryant. And thanks for being my PayPal education I feel about half foolish now that I’ve used it for the first time, didn’t have a clue how it worked or that they would send me emails and such.... thanks again! Jim
  6. Tony, I’m kinda backwards about this computer stuff but I believe I managed to do the PayPal thing. My first time using it. Could I trouble you to let me know if I for sure got it done . Sorry for the aggravation and thanks for everything. Jim
  7. Hey Doc After your education on casting I went and traded a lot of it for molds, sinker and bullet and a electric lead pot and other plunder that I’ve used exactly zero times so far .....Half a 5 gallon bucket full is about all I care to wrestle one handed anymore, I figure near 70-75 pounds apiece I’ve got 2 of them that I didn’t have room to get put up with the others out of the way. They’re yours if they’ll do you any good . Let me know I can drop em off to ya down your way some night. Jim
  8. He brought me a couple “ no step on snek “ AR-15 lowers and one of those egg sitter seat cushions. The grandkids had to try out the egg sitting they show on TV and I was shocked to find out it actually works. Jim
  9. Way to go FC ! Great deal and it just doesn’t get any cooler than a Thompson in my book. Been wanting one for years. Jim
  10. Hope alls well ! I’m thinking you did the smart thing and bugged out. Where did ya end up Tony? Jim
  11. Tony last I new you were in Sc. Hope you have a good place to ride out the storm if your still down there. Take care Jim
  12. I hope I’m wrong but I’m afraid all he’s going to get is a ass eatin , and from that smirk on his face it’s plain to see he holds congressmen in the same contempt that I personally feel for them . Important feeling good for nothing blow hards. I guess it’s better than nothing but I’m damn sick and tired of all the hearings and meetings and bull that ends in not one damn thing happening but my tax money being pissed away into some lawyers vacation/retirement fund. Bet the dirty S O B gets to retire on his damn pension. Jim
  13. Sorry to hear about your rough patch Tony hope things turn aroun soon for you. As far as the beanie baby to a hillbilly from Missouri his choice of head gear suggests a lack of common sense right off the bat to me. Been around his kind a fair amount in truck stops and have yet to run into one worth what he did to that wall. Jim
  14. I wish I had a better excuse but I don’t . I just flat got my days tangled up and spent all day yesterday thinking it was the 6th. Az I couldn’t figure out why in the world they would be doing the interviews you mentioned the day after. I still can’t figure out how I got the days mixed up , I went back and looked at all my logs and paperwork from yesterday and I’d written the correct date on all of it ! I’m thinking this working in the hay fields and and driving a truck too may not come as easy as it did 30 years ago I’m hoping a few hours sleep takes care of the problem. Sorry if I confused anybody. Jim
  15. Pretty sad I’ve spent 14 hours hemmed in the cab of this Pete today listening to whatever talk radio I could get dialed in across several states and only heard D-day mentioned in passing once. Jim
  16. I don’t really have a problem with Bolton ,I prefer plane spoken people I have zero use for PC anybody but PC pols enrage me but you may very well be right. But I don’t think short and dumpy ever intended to give up his nukes. He was just doing the same crap as his daddy and granddaddy before , playing us for fools and the ball got to rolling way to fast to suit him. Trump wanted real results instead of BS and ment it and it caught short stuff flat footed he was expecting to drag his feet and talk and screw us over again, didn’t work for him, or hasn’t yet and I hope we don’t fall for their BS again. Jim
  17. Nice mess of fish ! They say Stripers really put up a fight, I’ve never caught one of any size. Looks like youall really made some memories today. Now I’ve really got the fever. Jim
  18. Don , thanks a bunch for the tip! You just saved me an extractor and let me finish a 7 mag I’d went just a little to far on a couple years ago . Figured I’d run across an extractor at a gun show and haven’t so I tried your little trick and I’m good to go ! thanks Jim
  19. Agreed but he’s never been a fiscal conservative therefore in my mind a conservative period. That’s the problem that has nagged me about him from the beginning. Am I wrong in thinking I remember him supporting the Clinton assault weapons ban ? Hope my memory is failing me but I’m pretty sure he did. Heard just a short clip or three yesterday that he was tweeting about building the wall out of defense budget money. If true that makes the bill a little easier to swallow. And I understand we are eye to eye with Russia , China , North Korea and the one I think is the biggest threat to us Iran, but I still think this was a tailor made moment for him to slap the dems off their feet and he folded and took the easy way out. He’s just like the rest and is not to be trusted, and for what good it’ll do a darn close eye kept on. He’s sharper than I could ever dream of being and privy to knowledge I’ll never have a clue about but this one is a heck of a disappointment for me to swallow. Jim
  20. Just read where he’s sorry about the “ joke” and that it was taken out of context, and that he’s a second Amendment supporter and us law abiding gun owners have nothing to fear. Blah blah blah puke........ Jim
  21. While I see your logic Karl I also see the other side , real simple it puts a stop to a lot of bullsh-t before it ever starts. Most thugs are cowards not brainiacs. Jim
  22. Don’t know much about it yet but Full 30.com Is getting talked about a lot as a replacement, nothing but firearms related material.

    Bombs

We need to ban nails and have back ground checks and waiting periods before being able to mail or ship anything. With any luck the big box stores like home depot and Lowe’s will take nails off the shelves for everyone’s good. Az if we weren’t so far apart I’d fix you up on fertilizer. That keeps me pretty busy this time of year. 45,000+/- lbs at a time in a end dump several times a day for weeks. Never blew anybody up but did send one drunk chick to prison that hit me head on running down a skinny two lane a couple years back. It was her fifth dui and she had just gotten out a few weeks before ...sad really. Jim
