That stinks. This is one of the reasons why I want a mechanical safe.
@FC, didn't know John Deere made safes. Have you looked at the Liberty Safes Lowes carries? I've heard really good things about them.
-
Actually I was talking about the cool flash from the mosin. :-)
-
With all the deals on foreclosed houses out there it would be really foolish to start new construction.
That's the truth.
-
Nice. And very true.
-
Nice looking rifle. I like the bolt handle.
-
I found the new range.
This one is deep in the hills, and so should be safe from those damn developers for at least a couple years..
One of the nice things about this new place, is that you can shoot in the night, the muzzle flashes from 91/30 a rather impressive in the evening hours. : )
...
Pictures??? :-D

Its sad how some people will do anything for money. Messed up.
-
Very slick looking. I like the barrel.
-
Kinda cool looking. Never seen one made like that so you could see how it worked.:
-
Not powerful, short range, but still pretty cool.

Nice 8uck, very nice. Those carcanos turned out really nice. The Mosin looks good, but I don't care for the green color personally.
-
Wow Az. I probably would have had to change my pants after that.
-
I think you did good Az. A gun an't worth much if you can't shoot it much.

The last rifle I built was from Pecatonica Longrifle. They have great stuff and you can get em as close to finished as you want. I built my wife a Vincent Ohio rifle and it turned out beautiful. They have a good web site :
They definitely have some pretty awesome looking muzzle loaders. I was thinking of starting a little cheaper though. From the looks of things their kits start at almost $500 and go up. Hard for me to swallow since this will be my first muzzle loader project, I'm to afraid I would ruin it.
What about the Traditions kits for $260? Are they any good for someone just starting out?

While working on my Mauser I've been itching to try my hand at building a Kentucky long rifle. I know there are kits available, are any of them good?

I thought Grainger just sold industrial supplies, but darn, they sell everything from crib mattresses to homeowner stuff, to industrial supplies.
They also sell combat helmets, tactical vests & clothing, magazine & shell pouches, etc. Here are a few things I found from a quick search:

I know I'm posting a lot of videos lately, hope you guys are enjoying them. If I'm posting to many let me know.
I found this mid 90's promo video for shotgun training in the US Army. Enjoy.

Hey FC, I did some google searching for you and found a couple threads in another forum of some DIY bullet traps that may work for you.

I found this video on Youtube and thought you guys would like to see it. It was made back in 97 as a training video for law enforcement.

Very impressive.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Swamprat. I'm sure she knew how much you loved her.
