did you press the barrel in before you installed trunnion ? have you welded in the cocking tube yet ?

"Seems the good ole days has passed... " been hearing this for 30 years....we all wish we had bought more over the years..

prices of late have gone crazey...looks like ammo is the next thing to take off...

 

getting back to the thread ....several ak kits on GB ..

went to my local gun shop ...sold out of every thing...no bullets .no primers .no powder..never saw anything like it..

this stock will be a good start..no inleting

i"m afraid your to late the price has gone out of sight ..i looked that my usual sites and was shocked...all new kits coming in have cut barrels..i still have a under fold yugo...and a cetme kit i haven"t put together..glad i bought them now

sounds like my kind of project..i don:t own a carcano..but the round should work..it would made a one of a kind..

make it legal....add a tax....take the tax money to pay for rebab for those who want help...this gives me back my money...take the burden off the police...takes all the money out of it..70-80 % of people are in jail for buying ,selling.or stealing to buy..yes drug use will go up in the short term...but now its impossible to get in rehab because all the money goes to the war on drugs..its just like prohibition

most people don"t list there location......a 30-06 barrel is easier to find and usually cheaper..this is a good place to look

i:ve put several rem barrels on the turks...if you brought it over i:d do it for free..but you can"t ...all the legal stuff with shipping will cost you to much to ship it to me ...look for someone locally

5 years or so ago mausers were pouring in i bought 15 turks and 5 vz 24 .my inlaws keep saying just go to walmart and get one

ready to go...it wasn"t the rifle i wanted it was the SKILLS ...are my rifles world class..no...but i try to make the next one better then the last one..good gunsmiths are fewer and fewer,just can"t make a living at it...now it looks like diy is on the way out...even that is costing to much...what little i have learned i have learned from this site..

are you feeding the .308 out of the mag. or just dropping it in the barrel ? did you do the barrel job or did you have it done ?

the throat has been tight on the ph barrels i have handled.
