it"s a shame these stocks have gone to $173.00 and finished only on there web site..i don"t know if you can find one unfinished any more?

they should thank use for cutting them up...only makes theres worth more money....i bought 15 turks for $60.00 each ... where is the great collector value...where are all the collectors standing in line for these rifles? if someone wants one put your money down and do as you want with it...in a few years the goverment going to take them away any way...then they will for sure be MISSED WITH... just my take on it...

i keep hearing about all the talk about increasing domestic oil production... but the oil companies tell use it"s a world market... meaning if they produce the oil here they are free to sell it on the world market at market price...so how is more oil production in the USA going to lower gas prices? i just don"t see the oil companies doing use any favors

the barrel i used had a drill groove on it to match the front trunnon...the next one i do i will index it to the top and not use it .. i think it would work better with a whole new hole and not hit the old one..

i bubba"ed it all myself ...on the receiver all you need is to bend it over a 3/4" rod...i have a 1" thick steel table that had a 1" hole in it , set front bushing over it dropped barrel in ..sat a socket on the barrel with a 6 ton bottle jack..3 pieces of 3" angle iron ...welded it over the top ....real poor boy style ...worked great ....the barrel press is the key to the whole gun....it must be right on to get the correct bolt head gap...wire welded the front trunnion in ...gas weled the cocking tube...need the weather to warmup so i spray the gunkote..this link has lots of info.. http://www.militaryfirearm.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=296 http://www.weaponeer.net/forum/forum_posts...D=5794&PN=1

welcome to the site....i live about 90 miles south of you ,in Duncan .as for the siamese actions you have i have never handled one.. these are getting hard to find these days...they should make you a nice rifle ..the 45-70 is a good cal. for this action... its not going to be a low cost project...can you post some pix of them?.......how much of the work are you wanting to take on yourself ?...as for being a good smith ...i"m only a novice at it. this is what a basic barrel will cost.. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/...&t=11082005

i"ve pulled several mauser barrels ...a few nagants....the worst i"ve ever seen were british enfields

with a good sharp reamer you should no problem..just ask lots of questions here ....know what your doing before you start... !!!!!!! you can do it !!!!!

your right about.... too many people living here...my area is really getting built up...i"ve always lived out of town....don"t like hearing my neighbors and for sure don"t want to see them...i like a place were if someone drives up the driveway you know there lost..

very sad to hear this...we probley all drive each day not thinking about how quick a person can meet there end..
