  1. the brownell extractors i got from them was completly unshaped and plenty long...i don"t understand why it can"t be shaped to fit...i shaped one for a 7.62 x39..
  2. z1r does this need a 03 cocking piece for the m48 bolt to work ? or am i thinking of something else ?

  6. z1r how does the 45-70 head space ?..if the go gauge all ready drops in and also a loaded cartridge.. i"m a little fuzzy about this..i:ve never worked with rimmed cartridges

  10. BECAUSE if you lived close to me i could mount that 700 rem. barrel on your k kale..for you..but shipping cost back and forth will cost you to much..

  20. all jokes aside ..the way i see it Marine Recon is trained to kick ass and kill people...don"t call them to direct traffic and hand out candy..
  21. the thread shank on the rem. barrel is longer than you need for the turk....and if you want the sights timed to the action...i don"t see a way out of doing some reaming to the chamber....the tight reamer may be from the pilot on the front of the reamer.. how tight is it if you insert it in the end of the barrel...just a thought

    welcome to the group..yes you have many options..if you are interested in restoration good used barrels can be found..what are you thinking of doing to this rifle? is this some thing your wanting to do your self ? armed with the right tools and some carefull reading ...and input from some of the people here..you could do it your self...but a word of warning after doing so you will become addicted ..and then this will lead to more projects..
