I always use Tung oil. I put about 5 coats on, let dry thoroughly & rub down lightly with OOOO steel wool between coats. Each coat will get harder & glossier between coats. If it`s to shiny on the last coat, you can take the sheen off with the steel wool. I like it because it really shows off the grain & you can make repairs on the wood & blen it right back with the Tung oil.

Ok, I have the brass, the primers, & the powder. What I need now are the bullets. (323 dia) Anyone know of a good source? Thanks in advance.

You guys can do what you like, but I still think your`re making a big error. I have a couple of gun & shooting buddy`s down here that lived in Mass when Mitt was Gov. The 336 is a lever action, right? Run your empty cleaning rod down from the muzzle & with the bolt open, screw a cleaning brush on it that`s a little bigger then the case & pull it into the case. Know push it back out into the open bolt. The case will come out with it. Then unscrew the brush that`s in the case from the rod.

It wouldn`t be any more morbid than someone wanting to own Jesse James guns.

Very interesting. I like reading about WW2 planes, ships, tanks, etc. being found intact like this. The sad part is when the operators of said veh. were never heard of or found.
