  1. Women marry a man and hope they can change him, but they can't. Men marry women hoping that they won't change, but they do.
  2. I have a model 91 Argie that has his stamp on a 22-250 barrel. Militaly stock reworked and hand checkered. This was done a long time ago. That is all I know about Bud.
  3. Always been a tradition in this family for Grandpa to give the kids a dill pickle. Similar results. Of course strained carrots elicit about the same face.
  4. I am also in the medical profession (chiropractor). As I see it, there is getting to be more and more paperwork and limitations for less money. I dropped out of the insurance game a few years ago. Insurance wasn't paying anything anyway. I can work a lot cheaper if I don't have to fight with the insurance companies. Another big part of this legislation is medical records. My records are between my self and my patients. In the past, about the only time records were requested was in the event of some litigation such as an auto accident or work comp injury. Most of those times it was so the insurance company could find some way to weasle out of paying. With current policies, any bean counter can access your records and it tends to be them rather than your doctor and yourself determining what care you will get. Politicians complain about access to health care. There are no problems with access to health care. Just call your local clinic and make an appointment. The problem is paying for the care you get. If you have insurance, much of your cost will be applied to deductables and co-pays. Much of the rest will have to be eaten by the doctor or the hospital. If they don't get paid for the procedures they perform from you, they have to charge more to others to make up the difference. Some services are not approved even though your doctor feels they are needed. You pay a lot for insurtance and you still have to pay for your health care out of pocket. Much of the cost and procedures in medicine are CYA. The procedure my not be neccessary, but if it is not done, the doctor can be sued. Even if they do know what is going on and the best way to treat it, often medical practice policy will dictate what they have to do (= extra tests). Obamacare is designed to make people who don't need or use insurance buy it to help offset the costs to people who use it alot.
  5. Nearly no recoil. Nice rig That barrel was hot.
  6. That looks like a blast! At what must cost a couple thousand $'s per minute I can only afford to watch. The tracer show at night was really wild.
  7. I heard that it was heart related, but I do not know any details. I will be praying for him.
  8. I have 3 sons in scouts. We had our Blue and Gold banquet tonight and my oldest boy Liam was awarded his arrow of light and did the crossover ceremony to Boy Scouts. He has earned all of the pins available. I'm pretty proud of him. Dawson got a bunch of pins also. He is a first year Webelo. I am one of the den leaders for his group. He is well on his way to getting his arrow of light as well. We got a lot done this year. Connor got his Tiger patch. This is the first bunch to get their arrow of light for several years. I am really hoping that all three boys will go all the way to get their Eagle scout.
  9. Taking stuff apart is easy. Putting it back together and having it work at all, let alone better is the problem.
  10. When I push the buttons on mine, sometimes it tells me stuff I want to know. What language are you guys speaking?
  11. I believe that the steps are different. Some may be close, but you will have to measure to make sure. I think the diameters are about the same, but the length can vary among different breeds.
  12. Here is an easy way to contact everyone who needs to be contacted. Takes about 1 minute to fill in some particulars and Ruger will send it off for you. http://www.ruger.com/micros/advocacy/takeAction.html
  13. OK, I will put up with the snow and cold. I don't even care for spiders, say nothing about those nasty critters.
  14. Someone needs to be the one that gets picked on. We take turns picking on each other and my Dad. All in good fun.
  15. This perfectionist needs to learn how to spell. I was teasing my cousin who was helping me do something about being so slow. He said that he was slow because he was a perfectionist. I told him that it must be terribly frustrating to be a perfectionist and have so little talent. One of the better combacks I have had.
  16. Same from here. Went to bed at 9PM. No reason to bring in the new year tired.
  17. They are now closing in on 30,000 signatures. Almost 5000 more than needed.
  18. My son Liam (10) is working on a collection. Mostly cheap stuff so far. He has one miniature folder that is about an inch long when open.
  19. There should have been a sign on the front door of the school stating that no weapons are permitted. Most schools and many places of business have these. That would have prevented the whole incident from happening. Maybe the guy just forgot that he wasn't supposed to shoot people. Maybe they should put a sign on the front door saying "Please don't shoot the people inside". I am certain that would help.
  20. You didn't go and shoot one of his cows did you?
  21. I guess I have spent my fair share at the Friends of the NRA banquets. It has been years since I have received any requests for donations in the mail.
  22. I got my Life Membership paid off recently. I haven't gotten any requests for donations for a while. They must have given up on me.
  23. At least my virus scanner isn't going nuts now. Glad to be back.
  24. Things work fine on my smart phone but the home pc is still weirded out. Virus scanner goes nuts who I open the site. page layout is weird and hard to navigate on the pc.
