  1. i bought xthn and peix before they started taking off wildly. i put a stop loss on peix and sold xthn because of the volatility and what a mistake i made. peix was about 14 when i bought it and today its at 39 and xthn i bought at 6.50 i believe and its over 13 today. shoulda, coulda, woulda.
  2. it sounds like either a 93 or 1916 which are esentially the same gun. I converted one to a short barreled 6.5x55. I like it a lot. I actually have the original stripped square bottom bolt for it. I replaced the original one thinking it was causing a bad head space until i pulled the barrel and found out when it was converted to 7.62 cetme it was done poorly.
  3. let them be armed. In this war on terror that would make them enemy combatants. Non-uniformed soldiers against the us. Pick them up and send them to guantonamo. Once they over run the base you can let fidel deal with them. Actually i have no problem with immigration if you're coming here to be an american. Unfortunatly most of the immigrants i see want to turn their new area into a little India or peru/costa rica/guatamala. I don't agree with that. If you came her you should become an American
  4. i read a few articles but the opinions vary widely with nobody in the midlle. Some guys think your retarded to shoot them and other think your crazy to waste them
  5. I have a 1903 springfield and its low numbered. Its seems to be done nicely and shoots well. After shooting it i thought about the recievers and actually looked at the serial numder and found out the cutoff number for sprinfield armory is about 800,000. Mines in the the mid 300,000's. I htought about the fact thats its been shot for probably the lat 95 years and its probably not going to have a problem. I figured if i just shot light cast loads in it it would be a nice shooter since its got a nice lyman reciever sight on it. Any one have any informed opinions?
  6. Best of luck with your cat. I shot mine up with insulin for 5 years before she bought the farm. I'm not much of a cat lover but when your wife is you'll pretty much dowhatever it takes to keep the cat going. The only condition I put on it was if the cat looked like it was in pain i was going to put her down. Amazingly and to the dismay of my wallet the cat did quite well and never really had more than any other cat problems than most cats have. She finally died of old age at 20 years old. Cried like a baby when it happened but i got over it pretty quickly. the wife didn't really get over it too well since it was her cat.Anyway if you get the insulin levels right the cat can do well for a long time. Also long term if the cats losing wieght not enough insulin gaining wieght or stable the insulins probably right. Also if you do inject insulin have maple syrup available as it seems to be the easiest way to get there sugar levels up without a fuss incase of insulin shock.

  8. most boards will have a foil around the holes in the board that are connected to the ground bus so this grounds the board. A lot of manufactures don't use the brass because people have a tendency to over torque the screws ruinning the foil and the board or just cracking the corners

  10. The best part about smashing a hard drive is the toy you get inside. They use rare earth magnets in the to position the stylus and those little suckers are strong. they make great play toys for the kids(40 year old ones that is).
  11. I finally measured everthing. The go gauge actually stuck out from the outer torque shoulder .253". It measured 1.001". From the reciever face to the inner torque shoulder is .632" and to the bolt face is .743. Must of gotten a a hangover day barrel.
  12. I'm at work right now so i can't give a measurement until morning but its a 280 remington. I have the finish reamer but it just seems like it should have come a lot more finished unless the chamber was cut rough and the gauge is getting hung up. I didn't really have time to investigate before i left for work so was just wondering if any one else ran across this as it seems like its going to be a lot more work than i thought. I was going to finish by hand but 1/4" seems like an awful lot by hand.
  13. Quick question for a sanity check. When measuring from the reciever face to the bolt face i come up with .740". When measuring from the front reciever ring on the barrel to the base of a go gauge its 1.000". The midway site says nominal short chambers are.050". Has any one else run across a short chambered barrel .250" of an inch short.
  14. read this if your interested http://www.spybot.info/en/news/2005-09-12.html
  15. Its amazing when you have a piss poor economy and bad government how you can get nationalism up and peoples minds off of your corrupt goverment by making your big bad neighbor seem menacing.

  18. Say it ain't so. Another guy that likes women to have curves. I was starting to think everybody liked too skinny women.
  19. I'm sure california is the same as new jersey. Get as many kids listed as special needs as you can, and i'm sure teaching ebonics will certainly help that along. This should keep the state dollars rolling in. Too many of my co-workers have to fight to get their kids removed because the teachers/administrators fear losing money. Just about anything can get you listed as special needs. One of my friends parents died and this really affected the their child so the school seeing an extra opening for money convinced them to have their child listed as special needs. Obviosly time heals wounds or at least most of the time. They didn't want their child being picked up by the liitle yellow bus any more and the school fought tooth and nail for it not to happen. Best interest of the child my ass, it all boiled down to losing a couple of bucks but amazingly the school gave in at the end of the year after the state budget passed for the next year and the money for the extra special needs child was already approved
  20. Dam i thought I was only 39 since i was born in 1965, but now i'm turning 51. Great post Otherwise. I wish I took much more time to speak and write properly, but alas I'm just to dam lazy. If I were required to speak for a living or be a writer I would dam sure try a lot harder though. This would include being a teacher and refusing to teach ebonics irregardless of how much the mudda-fuggah's in the ghetto need it.
  21. I had the same problem and finally found some one to cut the barrel. I thought Z1R's suggestion made sense. Why take it all off the reciever when the barrel should be cut. Now i just need to buy a 280 rem. reamer
  22. I wish i could see many more stocks like that. I personnally realy like lighter wood stocks. i really like the way in contrasts the bluing. Nice work
