Sounds like some great kids, and im sure they will make some great Marines as well. Tell them an old Dawg wishes them luck at Pendleton.
I have bought a lot of guns over the years from Big 5. They always have nice stuff!

Karl
Try a very tight patch with that smoke pole. See if the VZ is free floated and give the muzzle a bullet test.
Good luck buddy!

Great attension to detail!
Some of the sears have more tension on the triggers than others. It certainly doest affect the triggers in any way.

Breathe of fresh air, my foot!
You're spending too much time fantasizing over her photos,
She’s a re-incarnation of G-Dubya, only more stupid.
Hmmm.... at least she has not claimed to have invented the Internet. There has never been a bigger dumb ass than Al Bore.
Obama Bin Laden courting domestic terrorists.......only Demos would think he is the best thing next to sliced bread. Like Rush says...an empty suit.

An Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun
in one hand pulling a male buffalouff buffalo with the other.
He says to the waiter: "Want coffee.">
The waiter says, "Sure, Chief. Coming right up."
He gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee.
The Indian drinks the coffee down in one gulp,
turns and blasts the buffalo with the shotgun,
causing parts of the animal to splatter everywhere
and then just walks out.
The next morning the Indian re turns.
He has his shotgun in one hand, pulling
another male buffalo with the other.
He walks up to the counter and says to
the waiter "Want coffee." The waiter says "Whoa, Tonto!
We're still cleaning up your mess from yesterday. What was all that about, anyway?"
The Indian smiles and prou dly says ..
"Training for position in United States Congress: Come in, drink coffee, shoot bull, leave mess for others to clean up,disappear for rest of day.

I have had several Finnish marked guns in which the stock finish smelled of smoke. I found some years back that the Finns used a pine tar finish on them. They have used this finish to waterproof and finish boats and it is a very durable finnish.
-
I very nice one with a lot of history behind it.
-
Very nice looking rifle!

What is really insane is that some of those prices are higher than what people pay for the more rare m/28s, m/28-30 etc. I wonder where they get their pricing info?
People need to start saying no to thse prices.

There are a lot of Mil Surp rifles that could be sporterized that do not have any collectability. The narrow thought process of that site is over whelming at time. They get together over there and start their Kool Aid drinking and then make silly rules.

I like your Mosin buddy!

Just don't print that over on Parallax Bills site!

The diameter of the bore on a Finn rifle will depend on the Finn gun. Some m/28/30s are .3085 and some m/39s are .3095. There are ones that are up to .311 that I have slugged. All of my Finn rifles have good bores.
So to answer your question about Finn rifles about bore diameter....it depends.

Very nice!

It looks to be an old Finn gun!

The Finns are not allowed to use 7.62x54r for hunting so they used 9.3x54R.
