  1. I have a 14.4 volt Dewalt, DW983 cordless drill. The Brushes are smoking and I need to replace them.

I've found replacements to order on the net but wanted to make sure of how to put them in. I'm not sure how

to go about it from looking at the motor.

    Any ideas?

If more info is needed I might be able to post a pic of that end of the motor.

    Thanks,

    lc

  2. Fly,

I've never used one bit I like the idea. A traditional weed eater is hard on my back. This would take away the constant twisting and be a lot easier on the back. That alone would sell me on the idea if the price was right and it was reliable.

The only Troy Built machine that I've used was a 5hp snow blower. That thing was a workhorse. Well built too.

  3. OD,

Glad it's going well with the travel. That's a blessing indeed. 2 of our last 3 were NOT good travelers until they were about 2yo! That was difficult.

Hope the transition for one and all continues to go as well as the trip has.

  4. Well, complete conservatives have finally taken their ball and gone home. And, until the GOP finds the moral compass it so long ago tossed in the unforgiving wilderness sand, it’ll just have to keep pitching to Independents, liberal Republicans and moderate Democrats.

We shouldn't be going home. We should be banning together.

Who will rally us to our cause?

Behind whom will we go into battle?(Figurative I hope)

I keep hoping for a scene like the last battle in Lord of the Rings when the battle was taken to the gates of Mordor!

Where did I put my claymore and kilt??

  5. The flu is going around here in KY. My family, 4 of the 7 of us have gotten it. I was talking with an older lady at a patients home today. She is into homeopathic treatment and prevention. We were discussing cold and flu type illnesses and she recommended taking Vit D3 from late October through May of the following year. She said that she and her husband have taken the "Sun Vitamin" in this manner for the last 4 years and no longer get those nagging winter sicknesses. When questioned about the years preceding this she stated that they were always sick then. What are your thoughts on this? Any evidence of effectiveness that you've run across?

    thanks,

    lc
