welcome to the forum, pull up a chair an' sit a spell. while i've never done a 24/47yugo, i have extensively built m98 large ring conversions. the only reason i use m98 LR is cause i can also use magnum barrels when so desired. there's nothing wrong with the intermediate actions, i would, if i did, build a 308 as you have a wider range of bullets to choose from=100gr plinkers to 108gr. however the 308 really should'nt be loaded with anything larger than 180 as case capacity is limited.the 308 with 150gr's are perfect for hogs and deer size game. enjoy what you build, it's an adventure doing so. ofcourse all this is just my point of view. say fritz, what brand mold and weight of cast are ya use'in i use a lyman 165gc cast they're deadly to varmints at 2650mv. there's no kick either when i hunt i think of one of my hereos. go ahead poink, makes my day HaHa. still have the molds if ya want to b0rrow them. Dave

are those for an ak47 or sks? If they're berdan primed, I would assume they would be corrosive. I know the 8mm turks ammo are corrosive. Dave

fritz, I too bought a lot of the turks ammo, but I pulled the bullet , then reloaded them for higher velocity. Have you bought a sellier/bellot 8mm's ? they're 196 gr for 8x57's They are great to shoot at 250yrds at 4x4's with 2" red circles. I gave away about 500 rdas of 45 acps. I got them in a shop closeout. I had a source for lead about 4 years ago. We collected 650 llbs of wheel weights. Lots and lots of 1.25lb bars. I also cast my own sinkers and make bass plugs. Gotta go for now, came home sick from work or was that came home sick of work, either way I'm for the day Dave

About 1 year ago midway had 180grbtbt noslers for $11 a box, I bought 25 boxes. They were in 8mm and 30cal. I think on my lats run through I have about 6000 bullets just waiting to get stuffed. A friend sold all his ammo fixins and i picked up 5000 rem standard and 5000 rem mag primers. I do believe I am good to go for the next year or so.

fritz, I bought 2-500rd boxes of rem corelocks for my 8mm's when they were 45 buck /box, same with my 30-30 150's . I know what ya mean them hogs and deer must have gone ta school to be able to tell the diff. Dave
