  1. Howdy, guess I'll throw my 3.5 cents worth too. The timneys are great but my budget said otherwise,so I bought a bold optima,w/side saftey. It is adjusted to a nice 2.5lb pull with no creeping. I have shot rifles with timney and the pull was nice

and crisp..It's goin to be your choice, I would try to shoot as many rifles with different triggers as you to get the feel of each.

My hunting rifle has a modified mil trigger. It works just fine. If you are building a target rifle then I would change out to an aftermarket one. This is just one opinion of many...Dave

  2. Hear, Hear, and raise the can high to salute the women of america for doin their part too.

I beleive it's our civic duty to support all who partake in this event..We should all write our

president, ask that this event be made an annual holiday..However We should request this to be a 3 day week end.

I know I'll be supporting this event, might even start drinking again too...Dave

  7. Hello Brian, all my reamers have the size stamped on them..ie: the 8mm says 8x57 mauser. the 8-06 ditto. I

Hope Z1R will chime in here,he's a gunsmith and could tell ya better than me. I don't have my 8x57 reamer at the moment to take a measurement for you....Dave PS. I looked in my book, the lenght of neck portion of the 8x57 is .319 " long..Maybe that's what he measured.

  8. Hey Bob,like the dog,oh and the gun too. I like my vz24 as.

Hi DT, Like your yugo. I have one that's rechambered to the 8-06.

Throws them 185 rem pspcl's at 2850 w/med load. Haven't had the chance for bear

yet, but the 8mm' are killer for Russian boar out here. enjoy your hunt.

  9. Good Day at work .Goin to the range again tomorrow for some R&D of a new play toy I'm workin on..Will keep ya informed on the progress. The 7x57 is gettin a new chamberin to an improved shoulder ..60 degs. will be testing the rds tomorrow...

Ya'll have a good week end,...Dave Ps got some reamers to finish the 8-08 chamber. will do this next week end..

  10. UP DATED> Went to the range today with the 7x57...Just fire forming some brass..What sweet loads they were.:

130gr Lee casts pushed by 20grs of RX7 and kicked off with a Fed 215 primer. I swear the recoil was less than a 22-250 with a 60gr round.Only had 50rds loaded, have brass coming so will load 200rds. Next time the wife better bring the camera....Even with the right shoulder in a little pain stretching the arm, it was a GOOD day....Dave
