FC
I was told that I have to move next year. Looks like CMIO (Chief Medical Information Officer) at Ft. Benning, GA, or a small command position, probably in TX.
karlunity
I cannot see the new PC army letting YOU near anywhere near the press as an information officer. They, the media, would ask for your honest opinion and you would give an honest opinion. The pols and brass would have heart attacks. I am betting on the command slot. karl
brokengun
FC where ever you end up congradulations on your new command. Moving will be pain but at least they arent trying to run you off like so many others
karlunity
We gotta make him a "call sign" "Flatulent 6" ? karl
FC
Keep me away from the soda and beans! What a CMIO does is similar to what I do now, but a lot more responsibility. The job is serving as a liaison between technology and clinical practice, to put in the simplest of terms. It has nothing to do with public affairs. karlunity
Ok. That would seem safe enough to keep the brass happy. I had this vision of you in charge of a press conference on TV. Reporter: "Col. What is your view of the importance of gays in the military?" Or. "Col. what do you think should be done with the AA program ?" I could see the reporters fainting at your reply. I would pay to see that. You would be field testing new summer uniforms in Alaska within the week. karl
