FC
We have a couple of antique booths. We were at an auction last night, on our anniversary/my b'day, and I got Barbara and myself two good-fitting, very good condition articles of clothing: a black tuxedo for me, and a mink coat in very good condition for her. Yup, both fit! Unbelievable!

FC
Dang, why didn't I think of that?
Dr.Hess
That's a deal. If nothing else, you can make stuff out of that mink coat. I'd really like a real fur ushanka. I'll probably have to make it myself, especially now that the Ruskies are not our BFF's anymore.
AzRednek
Years ago my X came with a perfect fitting 2-pants suit from a yard sale. Still had store tags and pants had not been hemmed for 5 bucks. It was a bargain but it got left behind when I packed up, moved out and never wore after having a seamstress blind stich the pant legs. Years ago a friend of a friend was visiting NYC during Christmas time. She wore her fur while shopping and was attacked by an animal lover with spray paint. The fur was saved but it was costly. FC
Sounds like assault being hit with paint. The condition of the fur and lining are very good.
AzRednek
Sounds like assault being hit with paint. The condition of the fur and lining are very good. From what I was told of the incident. Police didn't take real seriously and there was no follow up by detectives. She (the victim) was told by the dry cleaner that the animal lovers had the desired impact by driving down fur prices on the entire eastern seaboard. I don't remember the cost but seems to me it was a few hundred bucks to remove the paint without damaging it. It was supposedly done by an organized effort by the same crowd of whackos that were showing slaughter house pictures to children at McDonalds. Do read up on storage of furs. My X and I ruined a fur jacket because we were both ignorant about proper storage. Wish I could have said we only paid 22 bucks for it. We got it as a partial payment for a loan to a relative that could not afford to pay us back. There was no way I was going to spend the money to save it.
