AzRednek
My family has an annual get-together every year for Christmas. This year it was at my cousin's house, a retired lawyer. He gave me a box with guns and ammo in it. He took it in about 25 years ago from a client that was short on cash. He told me I might as well have it as all it is doing id taking up space in his garage. I got three handguns all unfired in original boxes. Some ammo and a M-! Carbine mag. The best thing in the box was a Chinese Norinco 1911. It still had the original 1994 invoice for $290.00. I also got a Makarov that I'm uncertain of the country of origin and a Davis brand 32 ACP. I'm trying to find the value of the Norinco 1911. I've heard internet chatter that the Chinese Norincos are favored among custom builders as the frame and slide are super hard forged steel. Some internet chatter claim the slides were machined from railroad tracks. I already have a Remington 1911 and will probably use the Norinco 1911 as bait for some young guy that inherited Dad or Grandpa's 1950 or 60's Smith and Wesson. Have to admit I haven't been this excited about Christmas gifts since I was a kid and got my first bicycle or set of Tonka Trucks.
ken98k
Wow! Sounds like a great haul. I have a Norinco 1911 that I bought used for $300 in 1995. It's always been a great shooter and never had any malfunction except I lost a grip screw bushing and they're not the same thread as a colt.
