FC
I flew into OKC today and drove to McAlester, OK to interview for a job tomorrow. Not a long way from Dr. Hess. This is pretty rural, but not as rural as South Dakota. A lot of areas with run down homes, & some nice old downtown type sights I haven't seen since about 1971. I wonder if I got into a time warp? I actually saw boys and girls playing softball, & it wasn't organized softball either. It was just neighborhood kids out playing. Man, the memories that brought back! odies dad
The school where my wife is assistant principal is looking for both LPN and RNS for school nurse. Nice area to live. Just a thought.

AzRednek
Good Luck Tony. What you said about McAlester, almost sounds to good to be true. Would be an ideal location to raise pre-teens.
Dr.Hess
Good luck! We are actually in Texarkana at the moment. Taking a little bike trip. Also, I see emails for an IT hospital project manager position in Rogers, AR. Or IT administrator or something like that. Don't have any more details. Also Director Information Systems Community Health Systems - Fort Smith, AR Those come off emails from theladders.com. I think they want money to look further, so I never clicked through, but if they have the jobs listed, others will too.
Dr.Hess
More notes on the Ft.Smith job: Director Information Systems Fort Smith, AR The candidate will establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the information technology department. A little googling might turn up the job.
FC
Thanks Dr. Hess, I'll have a look. Odie's Dad- my wife made it clear to me she hates snow. I told her the only place that seems to meet her climate expectations is Hawaii. The interview went well, but it involved four hours of talking to different people, and answering situational questions. I was weary of the questions after a while. My wife still doesn't like the thought of moving. It puts me in a quandry since I don't see jobs in our area, despite a lot of hospitals. Well, jobs I think worth considering anyway. VA has been disappointing. Fort Gordon, like any other Army post, takes FOREVER to post jobs and hire, and they aren't informatics jobs. Honestly, the hospital in McAlester could really use a CNIO with project management and workflow experience. I did mention it.
odies dad
They had more snow in Arkansas than we had here this winter.
AzRednek
Tony if it is perfect climate you seek, check out Sedona Arizona. Unfortunately it is the weirdo capital of the country. New Age weirdos involved with everything from devil worship, UFO abductees and weekend wife-swapping orgies. It is the point in Arizona where the desert meets the pines. FC
It would probably be good for the asthma and allergies. I'm getting a lot of resistance from my wife to moving. It's a real pain!
Dr.Hess
That other positions is listed as "Project Manager - Healthcare IT, Rogers, AR" if you want to go a googling. I understand the not moving.
AzRednek
It would probably be good for the asthma and allergies. I'm getting a lot of resistance from my wife to moving. It's a real pain! Arizona is no good for allergies. Numerous unidentified desert weeds just need the right combination of heat and water to blossom. I get it bad every April and October. Dr.Hess
I don't think there is any place that is "good" for allergies. Well, one place: On an oil tanker, loaded with oil, in the middle of the ocean. That is the only place that I have never been bothered with allergies. Of course, when you get back home, they kick in overtime.
