FC
Pretty neat pictures that make WW2 experiences seem more real.http://thebuzztrend.com/rare-never-seen-photos-of-the-past/1/ Anything that makes life in the war real, and not just something out of a book is good. Dr.Hess
Interesting. I wonder what was going on with these? http://thebuzztrend.com/rare-never-seen-photos-of-the-past/53/ through http://thebuzztrend.com/rare-never-seen-photos-of-the-past/57/ Pretty classic execution. It seems we don't talk about that much.
gun nutty
I remember seeing similar before. I'm betting Geneva Convention violations, or "combatants" who didn't fall under Convention guidelines. German soldiers dressed as civilians engaging US forces. German soldiers wearing US uniforms. Post-War resistance fighters who engaged US forces.

The guy at 1:31 (in the glasses) is definitely the guy in the center of the photo. Germans donning American uniforms were captured an executed. At one time, our enemies wearing our uniforms was a bad thing.
Dr.Hess
OK, I can see that. One of those Battle of the Bulge links has the same pic or event in it. That was just from a time when we had balls, guts and fixed things. Today we just feel really bad and make sure we have empathy with whoever we are trying to kill, then just drone them. After we arm and organize them in the first place. Different times.
