karlunity
You guys know that I am not a pistol man. But I tell ya that 1911? it took out the center of the target at 25 yards. Granted a pistol man would not be impressed but for ME? It just does not get any better. If I could figure out how to wear a jacket in the southern heat, i would make the 1911 my carry pistol! karl

rdm1962
Very cool Karl. I have a Sig GSR, it's commander sized. I carry it sometimes. I use a shoulder holster under a large button up shirt ( usually Hawaiian style), it hides very well. This might be an option. Ralph
AzRednek
I carried a 1911 in the early 70's but only during colder months in a shoulder holster when I was wearing a suit coat. I tried it under a sweater as it warmed and it was noticed by customers. Caused me to be 86'd from a purchasing agents office.
AzRednek
I carried a 1911 and later a smaller lighter weight Star clone (Firestar 45) during the fanny pack era. I also carried a 1911 under a photographer's vest to outdoor events if I was going to be dragging along a camera. The vest with its numerous pockets made it convenient to carry spare mags and the weight of the mags prevented wind from exposing the shoulder holster. Its really to bad that fanny packs are now so out of place. As kids today might say "oh so 1980's".
