Dr.Hess
Bagged a deer last week. I used a 28 million grain bullet pushed out to around 75 FPS. That's about 350,000 ft-lbs on the target, or around 70x more than a 338 Lapua Mag. Needless to say, that sucker went down fast. "Knocked it off it's feet" would be an understatement. More like "punted it across the road." And, at only $3500, a reasonably priced hunt, by most deer hunter standards, I think.
gun nutty
$3500 worth of damage, eh? I'm hoping your insurance covered most if it. "I had to swerve several times before I hit him".
Dr.Hess
Yeah, well, I have a one large deductible. So I guess my net cost on that one was one thousand. And the carcass was gone the next morning. Fresh road kill deer don't last long in my neighborhood.
AzRednek
Glad you're ok. As a young teenager I witnessed a car hitting a horse. As was common in the early 60's. Nobody using seat belts and a passenger died.

FC
Looks like a horse on the camper. Nah, doctors drive those Escalades! It took me a while to figure out the post.

Dr.Hess
No, I've taken out two the the damn things now with a Lexus LS400. We have 2 LS400's and each has bagged one. There's gotta be a cheaper way to do this. Humm, just not sure how. I tell my wife to let some friends of ours come shoot the dumb things. She won't go for it. This one came out of the bushes on the side of the road. I didn't even see it until it was about 5 ft from me and I saw it was "going for it." I slammed on the brakes, but, BAM right at the left headlight. Watched it bounce and tumble. Felt like stopping and doing a mag dump on what was left of it, just so I would feel better, but just kept driving. It was about 2.5 miles from my house and I limped on home.
