Downwindtracker2
I have a commercial bolt I can take the shroud off of. I would think a bolt sleeve with flanges would be a good thing. The action has a side safety already. Has anyone already done this and what problem if any did you run into.

I've never tried screwing a 98 bolt sleeve onto a sweede (Mauser 93-96 small ring?) but there is a commercial shouldered sleeve available for small ring mausers. rdm1962
Yep, I put one on the 1895 Spanish I did for my brother. I got it from Brownells or Midway. It required the normal fitting as with any replacement.
Downwindtracker2
. I tried it this morning, it does screw in, but the cocking piece is pretty sloppy. I did look on Brownell's website. And they don't list the 96, just the 98. Last time I used an NOS FN on a commercial '51 . I was going to use parts off the commercial bolt on the Turk, that didn't work either.
