Dr.Hess
Far as I know, it's a stick you plug in to your TV's USB port. It streams media off the internet. Some stuff might be free, but I believe there's the typical monthly charge.

AzRednek
I believe I have something similar I think it’s name is Firefox. My son a computer Guru hooked it up to my desktop. Costs me about 50% of what I was paying for satellite with a much larger variety of programs. I opted for Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime video and Prime music. I do have to be careful and click on the free to me program guides and it’s set up so I have to jump through some hoops if I’m willing to pay for a movie, some sporting vents etc.

FC
I have had it a long time. It runs off your router, and has channels to choose from on their website. The decent channels you pay a small fee for. For instance, Acorn, which is British TV, is something like $25/yr. Netflix is about $15 per month. I like it. You watch it on your TV. No local stations. spec4 e4
Roku is like a cable box with smart phone apps that run off the internet is the best way I can explain it. Some services is free and other you have to pay for it. Rob
