Right now it is "invision power board (powered by invison power board)" This is also the way that the forum will come up if someone tries to do a search and they might just pass over it. Invision Power Board is a software program that we paid for. The board has historically been Military Firearm Restoration Corner. Now the site web address more accurately reflects the emphasis of the site (quite frankly I'm shocked this name was available) sporterizing.com. I am talking about the index page header, the blue bar at the top of the internet explorer. That is what is displayed in a search engine, which should be able to be changed easily. One thing i noticed is that when you set the sight address for where it says "turning old pieces if junk into things of beauty" you put it in twice. If you have some questions on setting the board up i might be able to help alittle, dont know much but the basics but might be able to help. BobDole Posted January 27, 2006 Report Share Posted January 27, 2006 Dont know why it did it twice, to get rid of the Invison logo at the top you need to go to the admin panel than the "look & feel" tab on the left side there is the "skins & templates" menu and click on "easy logo changer" than you can upload a new picture there, than you can click on "complete edit " and it will rebuild the site. When upload the new logo just make sure it isnt too long so you end up scrolling over all the time. I pusting with a demo version forum of the software right now so if you want to know anything else i can try and give you a step by step. FC Posted January 27, 2006 Report Share Posted January 27, 2006 Won't work for some reason. I tried URL from Picturetrail.com, then uploading from computer, tried erasing their gif (mine are jpg). BobDole Posted January 27, 2006 Report Share Posted January 27, 2006 That is strange that it dosent work, when you clicked on complete edit when it went to the screen of what it showed that it rebuit did it have any errors? I am starting to think that with this and emotions somthing might have not been transfred over to the new server. Even when writing a post the smileys dont show up on the menu to the left so i am thinking the pictures might not be on your server. In the admin cp go to the "look and feel" tab and on the left click on the "emotioncon manager" than under "group options" click on manage all the ones on your sever should show up if you cant see the pictures then they might not have been transfered properly.
