The Democrats Are In Office

I think it’s going to be fun having all these new Democratic Senators and Representatives following the senior Demos down the trail of doom. Tony mentioned earlier the grand line up of senior Demo politicians. We just need to sit back. We can throw stones and watch them increase taxes, do more gun control. After the smoke clears, we will move back in and straighten things back out again.

Did you notice on MSNNBC the terrorists are very happy about the results? What does that tell you?

I hate to say it but they will now strike at us even harder. The Democrats with not a clue or a plan will blame Bush again. They are mostly led by the draft dodgers and hippies of ther 60s. Unfortunately we will deserve what we get voting these guys in.

With no plan for Iraq, or Homeland Defense the Demos will hold the purse strings. They will take credit for the homeland defense benefits established by the Republicans.

We need to say to our country.....good luck and sit back and enjoy the fun until the next election.

We better get out and buy up as many guns as we can before we lose power all together. If a democrat gets in the White House I bet the first thing he trys to go after is gun control. We better unite together and elect someone that will at least balance out the two houses. but For the life of me I can't think of anyone running that I would want in office. If we don't watch it is going to be a woman as well. Would be a lot of change then for sure.

Buying guns from private individuals, which is minus the paperwork is the way to go, if you can.

Despite the democratic takeover, I'm not going to wring my hands, but live my life. A lesson had to be taught to the incumbents, but what a price!

One representative I wrote to back when free drugs to seniors was being debated was a republican. He boasted of his support for the plan. I wrote to him and said it was socialism. Uh- he never wrote back. Surprised?

Chuck Hagel was a real let-down. I voted for him when I lived in Nebraska. He went left with his voting record too. Kaye Bailey Hutchison of TX wanders off the reservation too at times. When the representatives don't do what they portray they will do they will lose.

Now most of the fiery liberals live in what, Chicago, NYC, L.A., Boston, DC. Guess where Al Qaeda will strike? Not podunkville, where I live, but in those cities that think GW is dumb.

If I was the Pres., and I'm not, I wouldn't try to kiss up Pelosi, but consider her a dangerous enemy.

I dunno. I'll tell you guys, the difference between the two parties is: Do you want to be on the road to socialism at 95MPH or 65MPH? Changing the road isn't an option. Even the Republicans only defend the Second Amendment to placate us so we'll vote for them. Do remember that it was George The First that banned imported guns that looked mean, a ban still in effect. Would have done much more, but that was as much as he could get away with at the time, and it cost him a re-election and left us with Uncle Bill for eight years, and probalby his too next. We only get "lesser of two evil" type elections. It's how we are controlled.

It may be a border state thing, but I truley believe that the Republicans would own Washington if they would have built a fence on the border(southern) and come up with an immigration policy that would make it tough to become a citizen but possible. That way you could sift the shmitt from the honey.I too saw news reports of Ragheads being thrilled about the outcome of the elections.I'm still a Republican, and Rick Perry still sucks! Dr. Hess, you said it well sir!

I turned 18 in time for the 1984 election and was proud to pull the lever for Ronald Reagan.

I remember thinking that the "becoming more and more liberal" Democratic party was so entrenched in the House and Senate that they would never lose power; the best we could hope for was to keep the Presidency.

The chain of events that followed and lead to the 12 years of power that the Republicans enjoyed gave me hope. The House, the Senate and the Presidency. There was hope that things would change. There was hope that we would see the vision that Newt Gingrich had laid out i.e., shrink government and governments influence in our lives, begin to take meaningful form in our lives

Look where we are now. The Republocrats have moved away from any true conservative stance and are now feeding us PR fluff. Why? To keep the masses of the party convinced that they must vote for the party because they have to consider the option. The democrats. Their purpose? To stay in power so that the "Bad" guys won't be able to ruin our lives. It's laughable. It reminds me of the saying that hate will cause you to become the very thing that you throw your energy at. Hence, the republicans have truely become republocrats.

What's the answer and when will the country say enough? If it's not time now when will the time be right?

I wonder how our founding fathers felt when they made these tough decisions. Does anyone in present day America have the willingness to change this mess?

I have been registered as a Republican ever since 1984. That will change.

But again. I'm from the middle of the country. I'm a hick and can't know what right and wrong are. I'm not on either coast!

Jerry,

You nailed it! 73 percent of Hispanics voted for the Democratic party on Tuesday, while only 26 percent voted for Republican candidates. In the 2004 presidential elections, 55 percent of Hispanics voted Democratic and about 42 percent voted Republican.

We have to now realize that when they said "Today we march, tomorrow we vote" was true.

But as Tony and others have pointed out, it was an election that was blown by the Republicans. Folks can argue (and throw stones) all they want--it ain't going to change nothing.

Like it or not, we let them have it. It was not the way it was in the Texas war for independence, when we told them to COME & TAKE IT (if they dared).

I have talked to my wife and talked her into buying 15 AR-15 lowers. I will also buy collisable stock, pistol grip, front site assy. and the flash compressor for each of them. Once the ban is in place and waited ahwile, I will sell them. I would think that the banned will be in place forever.

Sad day here.

"I would think that the banned will be in place forever. "

Sadly, that may be true. It is easier to ban something than to unban it. But as prohibition banned sales of alcohol, they still flourished. It just went behind closed doors.

Going behind closed doors to do business has never been a good thing for those who like to keep freedom open to all. Those who seek freedom will always find a way to survive. We may have less guns sold on the open market (under a ban), but there will be guns sold behind closed doors.

Going behind closed doors to do business will happen. History proves it.
