karlunity Posted November 23, 2006 Report Share Posted November 23, 2006 Fellas. What do you think? The clock on the computer was slowing down so I changed the battery. After that I get "CMOS checksum error and the CMOS setting default. (I have my computer hooked to a power station which I shut down at night) I checked the battery and set the CMOS to "default" but I keep getting that error . any Ideas? BobDole Posted November 23, 2006 Report Share Posted November 23, 2006 You might have gotten a bad battery or installed it upside down. If that isnt the problem i would try reseting the cmos by using the jumper on the board.
