Is This Site Folding?

It seems to me that since Tony said he was being transfered the hits here have went down. No one responds to submisions. It seems like the site is sinking. I have been posting no one is responding. If its just me say so. I think this place is to good to let slip into the unknown. So?

Nope, I see enough responses. Now, Cud slowed down around the New Year's time frame, but it didn't surprise me.

I'm reminded of a fellow, no, make it two, who said one and two years ago that things here were in decline, but we are still here. In fact, I'm pretty happy with Invision, and with Blue Host, our hosting service (esp. Blue Host).

If we ever do fold, we'll be able to look back and say "It was good".

It ain't goin anywhere but from time to time things do slow down. One thing to consider is that since the influx of surplus mausers has slowed so too will traffic on the mauser and or smithing forum. But, there will always be traffic there.

Z1R, I am new to this chat room. I joined in late Dec. I've learned alot in just the shot time I've been here. I really want to get my feet wetter in the field of gunsmithing. I have a limited amount of tools, but I do have access to machine shop equipment if needed. I've been thinking about getting a minilathe. I'll have to keep it at my work place as I livein an apartment. I've been a ASE certified auto tech since 1982. I'ld love to hear more on gun building. I have put together a few rifles and made a couple of wildcats. My fav is my 8/06 turk w/29" barrel DAVE

Strait shooter, post some opics of your 8mm-06 in the smithing forum. There are many knowledgable folks here that like to help others get as much enjoyment out of teh hobby as possible.

I started life as a Mechanic in 82 also, then I went the accouting route, then into publishing. I'll be getting my shop set up in the next few months and will finally get to hang my shingle that says, "Gunsmith".

It's good to have acces to the proper tools, makes things easier.

Welcome and don't be shy in asking. Unlike other forums people here don't typically like to argue much and like to adhere to the rule that there is no such thing as a stupid question.

No, I do not think that this site is declining in any way. #of posts/hits means lots of "drivel" Talk for the sake of hearing yourself , or posting for the sake of upping your post count, don't mean a thing here!!! I like it that way. Pretty much business and education... And here I am Driveling.... sorry It won't happen again... MV. PS If ya didn't know, I can't spell either!
