I Took Boris To The Range Last Thursday.

My first mil sup was a 30.06 1917 Enfield.

Big 5 had a sale for $79...tells how LONG ago I got him.

Now with mil sup "issue" ammo, it is a very loud rifle, hence the name "Boris".

Fellas tend to move to benches farther away when he fires.

Boris was counter-bored in the past and his chamber is not what was in his younger days.

In fact he tends to "Keyhole" with 150 gr bullets. But with 180 bullets or larger he is as good as ever.

I take him to the range about once or twice a year.

Well, on Thursday he put ten shots into a 5 inch circle at 100 meters and hit the iron plate( it is meant to sight in scoped rifles) a 6 by 6 inch plate at 250 meters....with iron (issue sights) .

I have a brace of mil-sups now but only one "Boris".
