ken98k
I get asked that question frequently by friends and relitives from the lower 48. Well, the answer is; Damm Cold! It's almost always about 10 degrees colder were I live than Fairbanks which is 12 miles away. This morning; 2/4/08 at 9:30 am
z1r
Jeez, Makes the -13 in Utah seem downright warm. I spent a winter in eastern europe where the temps, especially in Romania, were as low as -30 but damn, that's unreal. How do you do it? J.B
I used to live at Eielson AFB near Fairbanks, during the winter, I got so cold that Al Gore would be praying for global warming. Where do you hail from in Alaska?
AzRednek
The weatherman is predicting low to mid 70's this coming weekend for the Phoenix area. Health permitting I'm going to try and bag a Javalina Friday or Saturday.

It' about -52 this morning. Glad I left my service van running all night. Probably above zero down in the banana belt where AKshooter lives. ken98k
nope -38 2,4,08 30 below every morning for week .got above 0 today AK Shooter, We finally got through the ridiculous cold snap on Sunday afternoon. 7 mornings the thermometer read below -50 and never got above -45. It's now only -10 to -20 I didn't think it ever got that cold down there. I spent 2 winters in kodiak and it never got much colder than the upper teens. Very raw wet cold though.
