spec4 e4
I was listening to the XM radio and an ad came on the air, USF Glen Moore is looking for 80 team to run an line haul run. I called and got alot of answers. .475 cent per mile and 5600 miles per week. And it would let us be home 2.5 days per week. And now they are relocating team to the KC area. As soon I get home on Wed. I am faxing our appts to USF. And taking an "Vacation" from the company that I work for now. Just in case the job does not go thur. If it does, I just call them up and tell them I quit. I wish I can found an company that will keep their word. Rob
karlunity
Outstanding. If I did the math right, that comes to $2660 per week. That ought to keep ya in beer and ammo. Good luck karl
AzRednek
Congrats on the find!! That should put you into 6 figures annually so get yourself a good tax man. No sense in working harder and giving it all to our favorite Governors and Uncle.
montea6b
There's a little more math to be done... That works out to approx about 1200 miles per day. At a 50MPH average that's driving round the clock! (or you could drive 100MPH for 12 hours with no breaks and have a little time for meals and sleep...) I think this would exceed the DOT safety limit... What does "80 team" mean? 80 other drivers to share the load/split the revenue? I'd ask a lot more questions and get everything in writing before you give up the old job.
spec4 e4
montea6b, They need about 80 team for differnt runs. As for driving, an team has two driver per truck. I can drive for 11 hours and the other driver can drive for another 11. I can do 660 per 11 hours. My wife can do about the same, until we get into Ka. For 5600 in 4.5 days is about 50 mph transit time. So yes, it can be done. It is drop and hook all the way. takes about 30 min to drop and hook and get paperwork for me. Plus add shower and pit stops. As for food, we can have an frig and microwave in the truck. So, we really don't have to stop. And as for the old job, we will still have it till we feel ok with the new one, cause we are going on vacation. karlunity and AzRednek, As for the money, you're right, will put us in the six figures. but per diam will but us under the by an mile and half. At $52 a day at 80% for each day that we are out. As for extra pay. We are planning to get out of debt completly and buy extra mags and AR-15 kits. Thanks Rob
