karlunity
Fellas. I saw Obama and McCain have a 2 hour Q & A. While Obama danced around a lot of issues, McCain gave direct answers to 98 percent of the questions. I have changed my opinion on Little Mac. From now on, I support him as a man I would trust as President not just a protest vote against the liberal Obama. Karl
Bob58
Saw same. I'm right there with you.
littlecanoe
This question isn't a statement, more of a curiosity. I haven't seen the session that you guys did. Having seen McCain speak, does it make you wish that he had already been president?
BradD
You know, after the primary I grugingly decided to support McCain. Not with much enthusiasm. I also decided I wasn't sending him a dime until I saw who he picked for veep. Some time back some good names were mentioned: Pawlenty, Palin, Crist, Romney. Now all I'm hearing is Lieberman, Ridge and similar. If I wanted a Democrat or Dem look-alike who's pro-abortion and anti-gun I'd just vote for Obama. And I won't be doing that. So, I'm just back to watching. If he picks some left leaning RINO or a Dem, then I am going to "throw my vote away" and vote for good old Bob Barr. And I had a long argument with fritz about the the folly of doing that, taking the lesser of two evils. Now he and I might have agreed. BradD
I wanted to bring this thread back up to talk about the choice of president. My last post I was pretty steamed about who McCain was talking about for veep. I was ready to walk if he made some goofy choice. I don't know if that was the throes of difficult decision-making or as a diversion to keep the newsies out of his hair (like mine, what there is). Well, today he selected Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska. Governor Palin was always my first choice although I thought Romney or Pawlenty would be great, if not exciting. I never thought he'd have the guts to pick her. She brings everything I want in a smart package. What McCain did today was pure courage in the face of some mighty politcal risk taking. Whatever else, McCain has never had a problem with courage and he showed it again today. Maybe she can tame the "McNasty" down. Karl, I'm on board 100%. Never mind the goofy global warming plank, it will go away. My check is in the mail. It's good not to have to throw your vote away. FC
I missed that Q&A session. I'm wondering who found Palin? I doubt it was McCain.
